Good Morning Everyone,
I am finally feeling a little bit human this morning. My whole body is still achy and sore as I am getting over a nasty bout of cold. I did 45 minutes on the Elliptical and plan and walking on my lunch and breaks. What is everyone else doing ot move today?

I had a good 45-minuteuphill walk/run on the treadmill today, and I'll be heading down over lunch for my freeweight routine.

I was kind of a slackass last week with my gym work, and I'm feeling it.

I am going to my hour karate class and then right to the gym for cardio and some upper body work.

Hopefully I will get a long walk in today.  Doing some heavy cleaning with a lot of lifting, bending, stretching, and toting.  I am such a pack rat and it's all got to go.  My new life starts on Thursday and old memories are out the door.  Any suggestions for winter time indoor exercises?  I don't want to spend a lot but won't be able to walk outdoors in the winter.  Thanks for the help and encouragement.

Hi Kathy,
I would suggest some simple workout DVD's that would cost less then $10 think Ross, Marshalls and TJ Maxx all good source for inexpensive DVD's, resistance bands and a workout ball. Sometime the milk gallons and vegetable cans work just as well as expensive dumbbells. Hope that helps! I also own a Leslie Samson Walk the Pounds Away DVD it just makes you walk in one place upto 3 miles! Not Bad it gets boring but you can do it while watching your favorite shows or plug in your MP3 or iPod and you are good to go.

Morning!

Did a 2.25 mile run this morning before it started getting hot, but boy it was humid even then!  Startled a gorgeous little fawn who was sleeping right beside the path - I was about 5 feet from him before he saw me (and I saw him)!  We were both surprised!

I'm going to go either later today or tomorrow morning and work on core and upper body.  Can't wait to see what torture Rob will put together for that scenario.  Oh joy.

Thanks Shilpa.  My friend and I are going to do some last minute shopping for me tomorrow.  I think we are headed to Kohl's and Walmart.  I am sure they will have something for me.  I appreciate all the help and support.

Hi Everyone,

I ran 2 miles on the treadmill at lunch.

Yesterday I rode 64 miles in the Lancaster Covered Bridge cycling event. It was my longest ride ever and very hilly! The worst part of the ride was the heat. At mile 60 I got really sick to my stomach but I gutted it out to the end. I feel really good about my accomplishment. I iced up my entire lower body last evening and today I feel really good.

There were over 4K riders yesterday. I saw one crash, poor guy busted his collar bone and there was a confirmed fatality. Limited details right now.

My next ride is the Seagull Century in October. Shooting for 100 miles.

Teresa I bow to you. You are the ultimate work out queen. Holy Cow 64 miles in this heat is nothing to sneeze at and then going at it at the treadmill today?? Geez you are making me look like the slack queen. Are you at goal? If not how much further? I am just a wee bit jealous since I am preggo and will have to have a game plan to get back in shape after the baby. Hopefully you will be my inspiration.
