I learned something new
Boy do I feel dumb! I learned that there is a difference between sugar-free and no sugar added! Duh! I was at Giant and asked the person in the bakery dept if they had anything sugar free and he explained to me what the difference is so when I got home I read the Blue Bunny ice cream label which I should have done to begin with and it had 5 grams of sugar so I am still questioning that but he was right it said no sugar added. Do I toss it or what do I do. I did have one scoop of it and was fine but don't want to press my luck or mess up but boy did I learn something new. Duh!
I have found that I can eat anything with less that 7grams of sugar and less than 12 grams of sugar alcohol without dumping. Eat and enjoy, but keep in mind it will have some sugar and fat so as an occasional treat it is great. I wouldn't include it in every meal thought.

Liz explained it just fine....as long as "sugar" is not in the ingredient list (or other sugar things like corn syrup, honey, molasses, etc) you are ok with it.
Yogurts, milk, cheese, fruit etc all have some sort of sugar in them...it's just "natural" sugars which we are allowed to have.
there are times I have gotten a little queasy feeling from NSA ice cream but never really dumped on it.
Go ahead and have it - as a treat! You should be fine with it!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Thanks everyone I rarely eat it because I feel like it would be a "trigger" for me if that makes sense. I just thought it was so weird that there is a sugar-free and a no sugar added so I am wondering like should a place have a apple pie that is supposed to be no sugar added would I be ok? But I do have the Blue Bunny once in a great while as a treat.
no sugar added = just what it says there is no sugar. They sweeten it with fruit juice or there isn't anything added.
sugar free = it was sweetened with an artificial sweetener.
For example if I were making a no sugar added apple pie I would make the filling from apples, cinnamon and nutmeg then bake. If I was making a sugar free apple pie I would use apples, splenda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Hope that helps!!
