First month progress
Tomorrow is my one-month anniversary of my surgery!
I'm assessing my progress!
19 lbs. lost - I'd love to be able to say 20 by tomorrow morning, but 19 is tremendous for me. (I couldn't even lost a pound a week average in my MANY attempts at WW). I know that some lose many more pounds in a month, but for me this is 19% of my total desired weight loss.
BMI - at highest weight = 44,1, surgery date = 41.7, Today = 38.4
Measurements - most amazing change is 1.5 inches lost around my NECK! Every measurement shows a loss, though!
Clothes:
Bought a pair of clearance priced capris 2 sizes smaller than before surgery...the only pair that fit me on vacation in June is now too big to wear out in public!
Button up shirts actually button!
Diet and exercise:
Sticking to the rules!
Water aerobics rocks! For variety I can do jazzercise and survive the hour without knees killing me for 2 days afterward!
Most of all...feeling hopeful!

Kathy, as you move forward I'd suggest that you look for all kinds of little successes. The shirts buttoning is a good example - I am talking about a shirt I love...that hasn't buttoned for 5 years!
Looking at the forums can easily make me feel that I'm losing too slowly - after all, I have lost 19 lbs. but someone else has lost 30. That's not what it's about. I am treating myself better than I have in years.

Super kudos Lynn, You are doing great! In time you might even find the knees stop hurting you, as all the aches and pains I had prior to surgery are virtually gone now!
Best wishes on your continued "successing"!

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
