OMG - Liz and I were chatting about this tonight.
Last night my nieces 16 year old friend said, "Your aunt is hot." He didn't think I heard him so I said - "I know I am. Thank you!" That still has me laughing my ass off. But several real men have said this to me this summer. Weird.
Tonight I had to go to the market because I have not been here all summer and I needed food. I went down the ice cream aisle. I decided I just didn't want it and walked away.
Last week I went to school to work in my classroom. The head custodian was helping push and pull furniture around and said, "Beth, you aren't going to lose anymore weight are you? You are going to waste away to nothing." I laughed him off.
Same day, the Kindergarten teacher was there. She said, "Wow! You have lost a lot of weight this summer." I laughed and said thanks.
And then... my cousin called and asked if I wanted to go shopping with her for a dress for a wedding. I said sure. I bought the cutest back-to-school outfit. While I was paying I asked the lady if there was another area for dresses. She said, "Well, yeah. The women's department is upstairs. But you won't fit into any of those clothes. You are too small." My heart smiled.
I love my decision to take charge of my life! My band will never cease to amaze me!!

trying to give myself credit is more challenging than I thought. I did give myself credit for calling friends to avoid car eating. If I'm busy chatting on the phone, it's difficult to munch out.
I gave myself credit for making my cards... finally scheduled time to start this important task.. I say start, because I know I'll have new cards each week as my jounrey progresses.
