Could this be possible?????
I had my last test on friday (EGD), and Dr B told me he called the office about me. I was to out of it to know what he was talking about. He did have one of the nurses tell me they would call to make an appointment with him. He had told me in June that they were scheduling 6-8 months out. I waited until today and called the office, and tried to reach the person who handles the insurance and does scheduling. When the mail arrived, I got a letter from my insurance co. NOTICE OF COVERAGE APPROVAL
,can this be true, it had the date of Septmber 15th, I am so unready for this to be so soon, as I thought that it wouldn't happen till Jan or Feb. My stomach is now doing flip flops, I will have to get ahold of Toni in Dr B's office to confirm. If I am in shock, what will I tell my husband who does not want me to have this because he does not think I am healthy enough. The first time I tried for this surgery I had open heart sugery instead, as they had found a problem when I had my stress test.(I am really greatful for this as I would more than likely have had a heart attack) I though this sugery was beyond my reach unit the cardio Dr advised in April that it would be a good idea for me. So it will almost be 2 years to the date that I began this journey. I am lucky as my DD is my biggest support and is a nurse, and will be a big help. The down side is she just went back to work after having child #3, and I travel over three hours every friday and stay till monday morning to help watch the kids while she works. I guess that will work out as well. Thanks for letting me rant.

Great that you got approval....but probably NOT the date thing is set.
My insurance company REQUIRED a date to be given to them by the doctors office in order to submit approval.
Therefore, my letter of approval also came with a date, but it was fictious date just for insurance purposes. Once my surgeon got a copy of the approval letter, they then scheduled me according to their schedule.
but hey - if the approval date IS right...even better for you!!!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
