big wow with my grandma

My granma lives in chicago so i only get to see her once a year.  Well she is also full mexican and speaks no english.  I speak very very little spanish so it is very hard to comunicate, anyway she has been sick so she is in bed alot.  I went into to say hi and give her kisses and she had a puzzled look on her face.  I went out of her room and continued to greet everyone and my dad is yelling for me and laughing.  My grandmother thought I was my mother!  My mom looks very young for her age.  My grandmother didn't know who i was.  This made me laugh, sad, and happy.  sad because MY MOM! Happy because she didn't know who i was.  I had lost so much.

I've had people not recognize me - and you are right - it's weird/sad
