My pouch MUST have a mind of it's own
Because of lack of sleep I had grouchy pouchy all day today. Barely ate anything due to the nausea. This is not something that has happened since surgery...I used to manifest being tired by vomiting before hand (now I don't vomit...I'm just queasy)
So I finally choked down a pudding a few hours ago based on Brian's suggestion. I'm not gonna say it went down easy - but I can say it did end up sitting VERY well and settled the stomach quite nicely. So, now of course I'm contemplating dinner.
And what is the ONLY thing I want?
A stupid greasy mcdonalds cheeseburger.
First off - I almost NEVER eat them these days.
Secondly - so NOT the thing to put in my pouch right after it has been prissy with me all day.
I still am voting for complimentary lobotomy's w/ bypass so we can officially say they fixed our heads WITH our stomachs, LOL

I get the same way - last night I was up way too late and the later it got the more nauseous I got - then I realized I hadn't had enough water or food during the day - I DID have a cheeseburger, but it was home-made on 1/2 a roll and it did the trick - then I laid in bed wide awake and had to take a sleeping pill to fall asleep...
Hope you are feeling better and enjoyed your dinner!
No, seriously....I know what the nausea was from...and the cravings...well that's just the addict in me rearing it's ugly head!

I am sooo sorry you are going through this... but I am glad that doesn't happen to me or I would be soooo screwed... stupid pregnancy RLS... I am lucky if I get 4 good hours of sleep now... and oh yeah I am counting down the days to freedom (from RLS lol)...
but when i get a craving for something bad like that... I split it with Lore lol... but you don't have a little one yet to do that with lol...
As for the cheeseburgers, I discovered McDonald's Snack Wraps, and they really help me get through a visit to that place, which I did several times with the Munchkin last week. She got Happy Meals with Beanie Babies doggies. She also discovered that dipping her nuggets into the caramel sauce that comes with the apple dippers tastes really good. LOL
I vote for the lobotomies when the surgery is done. My mind has gone into reverse in the past 20 months and I have been stuck on stupid with my food choices.
A good friend once said this...
"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, instead of a frontal lobotomy."

Sorry to hear pouchie acts up when you are tired. I'm still trying to make friends with my new pouch and figure out what makes it happy and/or prissy!
Saturday was not a good pouch day for me. I had a Rita's water ice (sf pink lemonade) which tasted great, but totally froze up the pouch (which my friends have named "meatball").
talk about pain- holy hell- the frozen pouch was not a pleasant experience.
After that I did not do great with anything all day. Even water hurt a bit. Guess maybe I was eating the water ice too fast. Luckily pouch was happier yesterday and things are going okay so far today :)
And I got a cheeseburger.
I ate half of it.
And then promptly threw most of it up because pouchy was like "what the hell!?" But I knew damn well that would happen. You don't give someone a greasy cheeseburger after just feeling like crap all day - surgery or not.
And then I went to sleep and feel WONDERFUL this morning, thankfully!
Pam
