Good morning everyone - I just got home frm picking up a friend at the airport and thought I might get this started for the day. If any of you remember my WOW post from about a week ago - I tried on size 18 shorts that were too tight - well guess what.....They are on me now!!!! (I think the difference is the ones that I am wearing are misses 18 as opposed to a regular 18) Either way....YAHHOOOOO!!!!!! I actually felt pretty and "normal" for the first time in probably over 20 years. I posted some pics on facebook. I really needed a pick me up after being so down about my daughter and her "special needs" at camp. Here's hoping for a better week next week for her. I am amazed at my physical transformation. I remember one of my first support group meetings when Dennis talked about the emotional transformation taking much longer! I am still working on that one! :)
So - for today, after I go to sleep, I will finish repacking my 11 year old for another session at girl scout camp, and repack my 7 year old for a week stay with the grandparents down the shore. (Son is still away at overnight camp for two more weeks.) I will then hopefully get to see some friends before and after I take the 11 year old to camp. Possible dinner plans downtown. Nothing is definite besides the long drive to New Hanover Township......yeah...I had NO IDEA where it was either, turns out it is past Schwenksville, which is a town I LOVE to say. Just me being silly!

I am in PA, in a hotel in Bedford. Had a rough drive yesterday, as the first five hours were in rain, some of which was torrential.
My agenda is to get breakfast, and hop on the turnpike for the drive home. Then, I go get my puppy and head to my apartment. Gotta get some groceries and then crash and do laundry.

Listening to the rain, Trish, and knowing that you will follow those clouds across the turnpike for at least part of your drive...
Not a huge day scheduled today. I will go to church, organize some meals and a shopping list, and maybe finish up cleaning the bookcases. That will be a great sense of accomplishment!

It's raining, it's pouring...and soon pam will be snoring!
I got home from a very odd shift at work. For the first 5 hours we literally did almost nothing. The place was EMPTY. I made the "mistake" of telling one of the nurses that I don't like being bored...but I also don't like being busy with "BS" (meaning those who have had a sore throat for 3 weeks and now come to the ER etc etc etc) Well I then ate every single one of my words because I was busier that crap for the next 4 hours with really really sick patients. Granted - I LIKE being able to do my job and help those who need it seriously...but really....do all four need to come in within 45 mins of the previous ones arrival? It was the running gag that I visited each one of our specialty ICU's last night...Trauma Neuro ICU (TNICU), Neuro Science ICU (NSICU) and Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU/SICU) And then for the last 3 hours literally went back to doing almost nothing. Very bizarre.
Anyway - sleeping a little bit and then I'm getting up for the day. Will find out then what we are doing. There's potential for us to see the in laws at their house or the in laws coming here...but it is raining and they normally don't A) go out in the rain or B) like to have visitors when it's raining...so it just might be Brian and I watching more Battlestar and hanging out here at home.
Other than that...need to get in touch with some friends today. The wake for my former co worker is Monday and I can now attend. I was working on switching with people at LVH and when I went to get approval from my manager she informed me that we were over staffed on Monday so I didn't need to switch with anyone - she would just take me off the schedule. So now I have my choice of times to go to the wake...and want to see when my friends will be there so I can go when I know there will be people there I know. Good news...it's right by my parents house so no matter what time we go, I'll also be having dinner w/ my folks most likely which will be nice.
Time to check out FB and then toddle myself off to bed!

good morning all I was up and out early this am as I am working for a pet sitting service and I usually take Ghost the greyhound for a morning walk and I think he is made at me cause its raining and no walk. Didn't want to take any chances with him. Then I am back at home trying to do my housework ugh what a way to spend a sunday. I am in the office of my house going thru all of my newspaper getting that out of the way and am going to try to read this book I would like to read. I have to go back to the house to do the dogs two more times today. Ugh I wish my other job would re-call me as its seasonal. Would love to find something full time perm. Everyone make the best of today even thought its raining.

today has me chained to the computer working on my final project for my BS degree. I've procrastinated long enough. I'm not coming out till I have something down on paper.
I'm also doing wash, but thankfully no cooking today, have lots of leftovers that need to be eaten

Well we just got back from church and I am now waiting for the hubby to finish making breakfast!! Yay!!
Then I will be doing laundry and just straightening up around the house. Not really all that much to do today. May watch a dvd..or read another book.
Hopefully the rain stops soon...I am soooooooo tired of the rain. It has been a very very rainy summer....
