Not Loosing weight
I even bought an excersise bike and I just don't get what I am doing wrong I have called Hershey and I have talked to them. I do eat some carbs like bread. wheat bread I don't cheat on sweets or anythign fatty. it frustrates me I know someone that had it done and keeps eating everything he shouldn't and yes he gets sick, but he is still losing. I call it the anorexic gastric bypass. I don't do it because I am afraid of getting sick.
Please help with any suggestions. I feel lost. Please don't think I am upset I had surgery I am not it is the best thing I ever did . I am just not done loosing weight in my head and I don't know how to get it to start coming off again.
I still want to lose 40 lbs. But I am thrilled being where I am right now. And if I never lose another pound, I will still be happy.

give us a normal day of eating for ya... you might not be getting enough calories or maybe to much... or maybe too many carbs etc... when you work out what are you doing and for how long? do you do the same workout all the time etc...
I was a slow loser as well... and part of it was my PCOS, part my BC, part at times I burned off to much in workouts and didn't get in enough calories... hang in there...
Have you been taking your measurements? Are they changing? It might be that your work on the exercise bike is changing fat to muscle right now... and muscle is much denser so takes up less room for the same weight.
And, as Shannon said, if you can post a couple of days of food/exercise logs, that might help, too.
Are you still logging your food? And measuring it? if not, try that for a week and see if it helps kick start things a bit (I know that if I don't, my portions start creeping up bit by bit...). Logging and measuring keeps me honest to myself.
And finally, have you started switching up exercises? For example, I don't walk/run daily - just every other day. On my "off" days, i do something like cardio boxing, resistance bands, and squats/lunges. That gives muscles time to recover, keeps the fitness level up, and prevents your body from getting used to a particular exercise to the point of ignoring it (metabolically speaking). When you're using the exercise bike, are you varying your workouts (intensity, time, resistance)? All those things can help keep the exercise effective for you.

Are you eating the same things all the time, if so, then try changing up what you are eating, give your body a jolt, try a different routine with exercise, be sure you are getting a balance of fats, good carbs in addition to meeting your protein goals. All those things factor into the process. I was a slow loser, who had many stalls, but I listened to what others told me and as has been said, because of yo-yo dieting, my metabolism was not great. Try shaking things up, another thing is if you are not food journaling than do so, there is a few free sites that work well, I like the Sparkpeople one, now, myself, but there is Fitday.com and a host of others.
Hang in there, I think if you shake things up a bit, it will pay off. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Give up all carbs except for green leafy veggies, vary your diet daily, don't let your carbs for the day exceed your fat limit, get your 64 oz. of water in, get your exercise in, and you will SUCCEED!!!
Its' important not to let your metabolism and digestion system get used to eating the same exact thing everyday.
Keep a food journal and analyse the nutritional value of what you are eating and you may be surprised to find out that you may not be hitting your goals or you may be overdoing your protein. Either way, you need to disect your routine to find the answer.
My only real suggestion to you is to get better connected. Go to more support groups. Get the support you need. Get close to people and get more advice from them. I have found that connecting with someone on a regular basis to swap ideas on food exercise. I sware it works.
If you want and can make time I am more than willing to go for walks with you. I try to go as much as possible, Normally 4-5 days a week. I am a firm believe that walking is the best exercise!
I know you are busy all week with work and on the weekends you are with the your family but maybe you have to make alittle YOU time. I know the babies go to bed early!!! Let me know how i can help.
I was walking around before work in a a bra and underwear and my husband
was like WOW! You look amazing. Sometimes it takes someone and NOT
THAT DARN SCALE to tell you.
I'd say cut out cards for a week-10 days and see what happens.
