Welcome to the Loser's Bench! Hope your recovery process goes well, just do as your doctor told you and as for getting in your protein and liquids, it's difficult to do, but keep your water bottle handy and sip frequently, also remember things like broth count towards your fluid intake.
Best wishes on your journey!

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Glad you checked in Megan.. we were wondering how you made out. The first few days are the worst. Do lots of resting and lots of sipping. That's all you have to worry about right now.
sip sip sip, walk walk walk, rest rest rest.
That should be your roll call post for the next few weeks as you recover!

Welcome home!!!!
Don't expect yourself to get in ALL your protein this early out. That takes a lot of time and does get easier once your food choices are broadened a little bit. The fluids keep sipping sipping sipping. I found I had to keep something IN MY HAND at all waking hours. Or else, I wouldn't drink it. If it was in my hand, I would almost "mindlessly" take sips (but it wasn't "mindless" because I paid attention to how much I was taking in and making sure not to gulp etc)
Walk walk walk sip sip sip!!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
