I have my surgery date
Yesterday, my surgeon's office called to make arrangements for the remainder of my pre-op stuff, nutritionist appt and psy appt. Then out of the blue she said lets get you scheduled for surgery.
September 14th is my surgery date.
It seems so far away, yet it is right around the corner

I know how long you've waited for this date! Congratulations and I remember well how you are feeling now! Wishing you the best and looking forward to making room on the bench for you in a little more than a month from now!

Thank you. This has been a long journey.
I wish there was a first Saturday support meeting in September, with my date being the 14th I could have really used that support on the first saturday. Darn Holiday had to get in the way....

But when i do see you all on the first saturday in October I'll no longer be a pre-op....YEAH!!!!!

I think there is a pre-op meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8th, Susan is the leader for that support group, I think, so reach out to her to find out, if you can make it there on a Tuesday that is.
And then, too, please feel free to reach out to any of us for whatever your needs are, we are here to lend support whether or not there is a meeting!
I'm so excited for you and look forward to your experiencing the highs and some of the challenges of this post-WLS journey!

Over 176+ lbs lost since surgery!! :-)
See my profile for my OH Blog!!

They are going to use a drug called
Fondaparinux in place of Heparin for me.
I printed a lot of information about the drug and brought it home. Then I asked Gene to take off his hubby hat and put on his therapist hat and let me know his professional opinion if I should read it or just put it aside for now.
After our therapist hat discussion we decided I'd put all the printed material away and just talk to my hematatologist on the 20th of this month.
