Two WOWS in Two Days!!!!!
Hey everyone--
So on Sunday I was at Wal-Mart picking up some hair care stuff and lo and behold they had some cute new dresses on the rack..so I go over to look and there is this cute gray tee-shirt type material dress with a little belt and a ruffled hem...very nice! So I am looking at the sizes....XXL (too big!!!) Xl (Again too big!!) XS (EEK too tiny!!!) and one lone Medium...no Larges. So I was disappointed but thought well it is a tee-shirt material ..let me just try the Medium on and see how it goes...
Well I tried it on and not only did the Medium fit it was even a little baggy!!!! OMG! I thought the size medium shirt form the outlets was just a fluke...but here I am standing in a size medium...from the regular girls section...I could have cried right there and then!!!!!
Then yesterday I am in the city running errands and decided to kill some time at the Target before heading back up to pick up the hubby from work. So I am wondering around looking at the clearance racks and this cute black and white polka dot dress catches my eye...its so cute and there is only one of them...it is $17 marked down from $30 so I think that is great!!! I can wear to work and dress it up to wear it out at night...I look at the size...a Medium...hmmmm though this isn't a stretchy fabric like the shirt or the dress I got..this is more of a form fitting dress...I thought well I will try it on but there is noooo way this kind of dress in a medium is gonna fit. So off I go to the the dressing room where (Drum Roll Please!!!!!!) The dress fits!!!!!!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!! I start tearing up right therein the Target dressing room!!!! The dress fits....a normal girl sized medium dress fits me....
This time last year I was a size 24...now I am standing in a cute little dress in a size Medium. I can not say how happy and grateful I am for the RNY and this life changing journey!!!!!!!!

Your wows brought tears to my eyes. In June, before my surgery, DH and I took a terrific vacation. I had packed light, and he decided we should go out for a more fancy evening, and told me to go buy something to wear. Well, we went into this beautiful mall...and I quickly saw that there were no "plus size" stores there. Went through the first dept. store and found nothing that fit that was appropriate for a night out. I cried in the fitting room, and all the way to the next store. I did eventually find something that was "okay" - not exciting though, and probably spent too much on something that was just okay, simply because it fit.
I didn't know then that my surgery would be 2 weeks away. I felt like this was just how it was going to be.
Now, just 3 weeks after surgery, my own closet is starting to feel good again - I can actually WEAR some of the clothes in there!
And who knows where I'll be a year from now!
