OT: Dillinger Update

He is still with me, the Vet said it's not time yet, gave me a two week supply, with 4 refills, of pain meds to keep him comfortable, told me the signs to watch for and said he's had a good life with a good Mom and that all things considered he is doing great, she reminded me that he is almost 3 months past what time he was given and that I am doing the right things.

Thanks for the support and I feel a slight sense of relief now, even though I know he is on borrowed time.

Hugs, Laureen

Hugs to you, Laureen.  I know the process of saying goodbye isn't an easy one, but love makes it a bit easier.  Sounds like your vet is a compassionate and caring one who understands the empathy between people and our "furry kids."

Glad to hear that things went OK today and he'll be with you a while longer! You are a good Mom and I am sure that he appreciates it all!

*hugs*

Liz

PS - borrowed time is still time you get to scratch those ears and love him to pieces!

Hi Laureen,
"It's not time yet" are really comforting words at this time. For you and Dilinger more time to enjoy your time together. And think about nothing else, really.
You will always have our support,

Remember the story I told you about my Silky (my english springer) keep it in mind.  Like I said they are not God.  Pet the pup for me.  He's not on borrowed time he is on good time he is with you. He is one lucky dog and you are one lucky person to have each other. Like I have always said love will perform miracles.
