I have one at home I think - I'll try to remember to post it tonight when I get home!

Someone did reply with a recipe though - it did call for protein powder - which I am not a fan of and generall speaking avoid! lol

I just looked at the link...and I don't see the actual recipie there anymore....just a description of a pb drop cookie "no baking required" so I'm not sure what else was in it.

Although one of the responses the recipie looked REALLY good (the one with the protein powder peanut butter etc)

Protein Ball Recipe

  INGREDIENTS
1 cup Oats
1 cup Protein Powder (I used cookies-n-cream)
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 package Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Mix (dry powder)
1/3 cup Splenda
1/2 cup Egg Beaters
Water (little bit to moisten as needed)
Additional Splenda for coating

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400°.

Add all dry ingredients and mix well. Add peanut butter and cut into mixture until you have a dry crumb-like mixture. Add EggBeaters and mix well - add small amounts of water as needed. Mixture will be stiff and just moist enough to form a ball.

Roll golf ball sized balls from mixture and roll into bowl of Splenda. Place on baking sheet (they can be close since these balls do not spread or rise). Makes about 16 balls. Bake for 10 minutes.

This is the recipie Liz and I just mentioned - I generally haven't used protein powder since early post op - but I just might give these a try!

Oh - and I know they are not exactly what the person is looking for - but Liz's oatmeal/pb cookies are really good, too - I wonder if they would want to do them, even though her original recipie was a "no bake" one....

they were looking for a recipe to mirror the one that we have all made pre-op.. peanut butter, oatmeal and chocolate--no bake cookies.

The protein one does sound good and I just might have to try it..

I'm planning on making Liz's choc chip cookies to bring to the bea*****ase I can't find SF ice cream or something else for a treat.

OK here is the one that I have - *NOTE* I haven't tried these with the diabetisweet yet but I am confident that it will work well.

2 cups diabetisweet
4 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt 3 cups quick oats

Bring diabetisweet, cocoa, and milk to a boil. Add butter, peanut butter, vanilla, and salt stirring constantly. Add oats and stir until well coated. Drop by the spoonfull onto waxed paper. Refrigerate to cool or let sit out until dry before storing.

never had these cookies preop... well taste wise... but I remember friends making them and isn't basically melt PB and chocolate and then stir in oatmeal and some butter and that was it... it was like 5 items or less kind of a thing... is that what they are talking about?
