People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Shilpa that is such a generous offer....i am dying to go. I do not think he will be going with me, LOL. I hear t is a rough journey and one you really need to want to do and he doesnt.

Is this your families place? How often do you get there?

OMG it's what India is famous for. It's hospitality. My father owns it and you can see the entire city. I live in the city with night clubs and shopping malls. Even SF Baskin Robbins. I have only gone to India twice since I came to United States. Once to get married in 2005 and once to attend my sister's wedding in 2002. I only go for special occasions. I am serious that place is yours to use. I wish I could go with you but I would not survive the airplane ride. lol. It really sucks takes forever and as I get older my patience has gone out the window if you know what I mean plus too much poverty so people are looking for hand outs the moment you land at the airport. Kind of depressing too...

I have not had my surgery yet, but start my pre-op testing on Aug 5th.

My goals presently are:

1. To get my diabetes under control and my health back

2. To go off all present meds (praying for that)

3. Next would be for my body to stop hurting when I'm going up and down the stairs and walking, cooking, cleaning, etc.
4. Be able to garden again, it's so frustrating not being able to get out in my gardens

5. Then my last goal presently is to fit back into my leather ex-small chaps and vest that Gene bought for me in 2002 when we decided to go on a 5 week trip across country on the Harley I didnt' have any riding gear.

I pretty much have met all of my physcial goals.

I can wrap a towel around my body and it stays
I shop where ever I want, even skinny ***** boutiques
I fit in to a size 8
I can wear Seven and True Religion jeans
I fit in the kiddie ferris wheel with my 2 year old
I fit in an airplane seat
I had my boob job
I fit in the seats at Citizen Bank Park
I can walk 4 flights of stairs to my office w/o being out of breath
I can turn heads
I now can fit/drive our Porche 944
I proudly wear a bathing suit

Geeesh, all of these things in only 11 months!

My goals moving forward are more emotional and personal growth ones.

Get married (most likely not in the relationship I'm in)

Become a certified personal trainer (currently preparing for my NCSF exam)

Become a certified Doula (labor coach)

Ultimately my goal would be to work with expecting mom's as a personal trainer and birthing doula as my own business. I'm done working for the "man"

To be financially fit.

To have a tummy tuck.

Break a 10 minute mile

Run a 5K in 30 minutes or less

Hi Mary,
What a great topic,
BTW - love your new avatar - you look fantastic.
I have met many of my goals and I am so thankful for that.
I think the next thing I want to do is go canoeing. I was afraid that
I would not fit in or that I would tip it over because I was so heavy.
