long time
ok so i havent been on here since april 11 and its now the end of july.
a lot has happened to me personally, most recently my mother passed away 2 weeks ago and the family is in turmoil. but besides that, i had my surgery june 8th. prior to surgery i did lose a total of 22 pounds. within 4 weeks after surgery i lost 27 pounds. but now ive gone a whole 3 weeks and lost nodda. nothing. zero. 3 weeks and 0 lost ? ugh im so frustrated. i have an appt next week for my 8 week check up and they are going to see 0 results in a whole month. its embarassing. this isnt what i signed up for. kwim. i went thru a heck of a recovery after surgery, am still not where i should be physically etc, and this is what i have to show for it ? a measly 27 pounds ? omg. any advice ? sorry i know im ranting. theres some other stuff going on and im all flustered and beside myself. why i chose to come on here now, at this moment of insanity, ill never know. maybe its meant to be.

I'm also sorry to hear about your mom, and I understand all too well about family turmoil.
I lost 11lbs immediately following surgery and then at 3 week**** my first of MANY stalls. Needless to say I was PISSED. But here I am at 11 months out and I'm down 102lbs. It WILL happen, you will lose, stall, lose, stall. I'm at another stall now and I just keep on trying to eat right and exercise and I know even though it's frustrating, I will lose again.

i really need to get on the exercise thing...i dont know whats wrong with me. i have fibromyalgia, r. arthritis, sjogrens syndrome and some ruptured discs...so i have a lot of pain pain pain. i know if i exercised , id have less pain, but its hard to tell myself that when im in pain. viscous circle. i thought after id lost weight most the pain would vanish, but im a total of 49 pounds lost before and after surgery incl. and pain is just as bad if not worse.
sorry im just kinda down. like i said rough month/ summer.
on a positive note, some of my clothes are falling off me. LOL. and i went down one size in my bra cup / and band too. woo woo !!

You will continue to stall without exercise and a change in your routine and menus. Don't allow yourself to fall into a food rut. Mix it up and keep the carbs limited to natural ones that consist mostly of green leafy veggies. Foremost, the protein is your #1 Goal along with fluids. Try to keep your carbs in the same range as your fat for the day. Limit fruit, the carbs although natural will trip you up.
im going to take what u said to heart. i have been having some fruit here and there. maybe one serving a day, some days not at all. but i have been having some other carbs. i really dont eat much, but i know im not getting enough protein. i just cant stomach the shakes anymore. and when i chew the meat etc..i chew to applesauce consistency as i was told, but by then its disgusting and sometimes i even just cant swallow it and spit it out. not always just sometimes. im having trouble wiith my menu. i also struggle to get enough water. i really have to concentrate to get 20 ounces a day in. so i guess i see some of my faults. thanks for making me really think about it. what specific green leafy vegs do u like ?
