Had a follow up appt with my PCP.. blood sugars defintiely read that I am still diabetic.  upped my meds to get things under control.  I'm somewhat overwhelmed by this news even though I was expecting it.  Time to put myself first and be accountable to me.

Quinoa is a grain - Liz has made a salad out of it before and stuff.

As far as the greek yogurt....I think it is good, but NOT plain.  Plain it tastes like sour cream.  You need to add stuff to it...my fav is adding some berries and splenda.  Others use sf jellies/jams, a little bit of powdered sf jello, anything with sweetness and flavor.

I've also added splenda, coconut extract (or coconut sf syrup like "davinci" brand) and some pineapple for a pina colada like taste.

Name brands:  Oikios, Chobani, Fage

You can also use it in place of sour cream - like on tacos or something like that.

Syntha-6 is the brand name.  I buy it at either the Vitamin Shoppe or GNC.  It is the best tasting one I've found.

The PB I usually eat is Simply Jif.  I don't know the nutritionals off the top of my head, but I just have a tbsp at a time.  For me, it's a good pre-gym snack, so I eat that one hour before I work out.

Well today is the first day of my friend and, as usual, I am nauscious as hell from the cramps...AND I didn't wake up till after 11 this morning....so my eating plan is all over the place.

B:  Scrambled egg, lf mozz cheese on a piece of toast
If I'm able to stomach something before work I'll have a greek yogurt w/ berries

Packing for work:

String cheese
Greek Yogurt w/ berries
Left over lasagna - I made a killer batch the other day Used a blend of lf ricotta, parm, romano and mozz for the cheese filling (plus eggs) and made a meatsauce.  The layers are pretty thick...and basically I eat all the filling and leave the noodles, so it's actually packed with protein!

I also made a batch of Paula Deans NSA Peanut Butter cookies - they just came out of the oven and smell awesome.  I will pre portion a few in individual bags for me here and bring the rest into work.
