Graphic n Gross- it's about corn poops
Okay- so I used to really love corn....especially in the summer, on the cob, squirting the person next to you...possibly across from you...
<--- that's usually what their face looks like.
Since surgery, I've just been a little scared of it....afraid it wont digest or that a kernel will get lost in my intestines somewhere...
BUTT... I have had it a few times, but never saw it come out ????
Anyone have any info on this???
I used to ALWAYS see it after.... I see my kidney bean skins everyday...why not the corn?

"afraid it won't digest" is an oxymoron statement in this particular instance because the human body (before surgery or otherwise) CANNOT be digested by the body. Hence why you saw it each time before hand.
My guess is gonna be one of two things A) you are chewing much better than you were before surgery so it's unrecognizeable unlike before hand when many of us (myself included) didn't quite understand the full meaning of the word "chew"
or B) your digestive track is probably working MUCH better now thanks to better eating habits..where as before the corn would sit there for a little while and have to wait for your slow moving gullet (because that's what unhealthy eating does...slows the intestines down) to finally get it to pass....and now in combination with being chewed better, it's all just in the mix.
Hmmm another conversation I never envisioned myself having....but don't mind it!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Funny this should be mentioned. George and I went to Yesterday's in Ocean City, NJ this past sunday and they gave me a little corn on the cob and I caught myself thinking...."oh I would kill to smear butter and a little salt all over this baby and chow down" but I was scared stiff so I stayed away from it. Call me chicken but once I dumped on something I am really scared. I know it probably doesn't make sense. I don't usually check my poop. What a conversation! Only on the OH boards and support group meetings is this understood huh?
