Good Morning PA,

I was wondering if any of you would be interested in meeting on Sat. August 29th at the Schuylkill River Trail-Betzwood picnic area Valley Forge to bike ride - walk - or rollarblade together? This is a paved flat trail that is great for all fitness levels. Family and friends are absolutely welcome to join us.

If this post generates interest I'd be glad to coordinate the event.

Teresa

I didn't realize that is a cooking date. We can be flexible on the date if folks are interested.

Sounds like a great event - maybe in September sometime when it gets a little cooler but before the leaves come tumbling down? I work in KOP and while I'm not familar with that trail I know one of the guys I work with is. If its flat I could ride my bike.

Sept. would work. Aftr labor day, yes?

Kathy I think of you often when I ride that trail. It would be perfect fpr you and your bike and Pam and her blades.

Folks responding....throw out some dates for consideration.

Teresa, I'd be interested in biking along.   Hey, if Pam wants to give lessons, I'd even try blades!  I'll keep checking back to see what comes of it.

I'm not so sure I'd be the one to give lessons....hubby is - just barely -  living proof of that,   And I still don't stop well.  I currently use the "find a telephone pole or tree and slowly slam into it" method because when I put my foot backwards to use the break, I end up weeble wobbling and *almost* falling.  But I'd be willing to show you how I skate and give what little pointers I have on it!

I'm not sure how far away it is from me....but I would definately be interested.  You can all pass me on your bikes as I continue to learn how to rollerblade, LOL  I haven't been on a paved path before but I bet it is MUCH nicer than the bumpy road pavement I currently use in my neighborhood!

Obviously do not base it around me because as far as schedules go....mine is always up in the air and at times difficult to work with.  I work every other weekend (which consists of Friday and Saturday night 7p-7a) at my full time job.  My weekend OFF is Liz's cooking class...so every other weekend from then on in I should have off.  If I have advance notice, I would be sure to NOT schedule myself at my other job that weekend.

Keep us posted - I'm interested.  And maybe by then I'll be able to get hubby his bike (his rollerblading days are over) so he could join us.

I would be interested if we do it sometime in Sept (other than Sat the 26th, as I'm teaching a workshop that day).

Thanks!

I'm interested.  And flexible on dates, so I can work with whatever Sat is decided on.  I'll probably be walking---I haven't been on a bike in years (other than stationary) but am thinking of getting a bike.
