***Manic Monday Roll Call***

Good Morning Everyone,
What a wild day Sunday was at the psychiatric hospital.  Is there a full moon or something?  Escapes and violent teenage girls were the word for the weekend.

Today is my last day at the hospital till after my grandson is born.  I will be leaving for Michigan on Thursday at the latest.  I hope to get to my meeting and my group session this evening.  I have not been to either in over a week because of being so sick last week. I am grateful I am feeling better so far.  Better living through chemistry.

My niece sent me some pics from Michigan on my cell phone.  I have to get them into my computer to share.  One is of the Munchkin wearing big girl sunglasses.  The other is of my daughter, so I could see her belly.  She measured 40 weeks a week ago today, and she is not due till August 4th.  I am getting a big grandson.  Her brothers were ten and a half pounds at birth, and her husband was over ten pounds as well, so this fits the family pattern.

Trish I have to ask where your daughter lives in Michigan. I'm a transplant to PA - spent most of my life in Oakland County and still have a lot of family there.

Today will be manic for sure. The dog has a follow up eye appt. at the vet (3rd visit for an ulcerated cornea, which can be a problem for boxers). Then I meet hubby and we run to Elizabethtown to see my in-laws off as they leave for CA after 2 months in PA in their RV. Then...excitement!...I head out to Barix for my 2 week follow up appt. I'm excited and nervous all at once over this!

My daughter lives in Perry, about 30 miles east of Lansing, right off of I 96 I think the road is.  She teaches in Morrice.  Her hubby is from Perry, and they met out here when she was in college.  His cousin introduced them.

Is Oakland County near Detroit?  I think the county she lives in is Shiawasee.

As for me not really much onthe agenda here...just going to try and stay busy today and keep my mind off things....

I may pull out and start a new cross stitich project...we shall see how I am feeling later.  I am just EXHAUSTED but slept from 9 pm till 6 am..so its not that I am not getting enough sleep...just that I am stressed beyond belief I think....plus I got a huge zit on the side of mynose that won't go away...soooooo not fun or pretty...ugggg  I think I need to learn to meditate or something to relieve stress and anxiety....cause really all I want to do is sleep and that is a gateway to a depressive epsiode for me ...so I am trying to stay busy instead ...

So enough of all my whining...I do have actual things to do today..dishes..straighten up the kitchen...put the last bit of laundry away....get photos together that need to be scanned into the computer...etc So I am sure I will find plenty to do even if it is supposed to be a soggy mess outside today!!!!!

But it is def humid...my hair is in uber tight curls today.....lol  Fuuun!!! I am looking like shirley Temple righ now!!!! LOL Well I am going to go work out and then get my day going here!!!

I empathize with the need to de-stress at times, and I have actually had to do meditation/deep breathing exercises on an ongoing basis.  I also have a visualization recording that helps me at night.  Sleep will often kick someone into a depressive episode.  So does isolating.

Good luck.  Take a walk when you feel that way.  The fresh air and exercise can help clear the mind.

Monday already?!?! UGH

Today has me back to work.

After work, Siehara and I are going to see Ice Age 3D with some friends and then out to dinner.  There is a Friendly's and a Red Robin near the theater so we will hit one of those places for dinner afterward.  I will have to check out the Red Robin menu to see if I can swing it there.  I know if we go to Friendly's I can get quesadillas and eat the insides.  Red Robin has turkey burgers, so maybe I'll just order one of those without any fries or anything.  I'll be prepared ahead of time so I can suggest another restaurant if I need to.  There is a diner across the street, too, and that might really be the best option for me.  We'll see.

That's it for me.  Busy day at work, so I better get moving over to the other computer so I can get something done.

Red Robin has a naked burger. i heard it was good. I have never been there but a new one just opened up near me last week and I can't wait to go. They have more than burgers and their full menu is on line. Have fun!

Thanks Tracy, I did check out their menu online and see that I will have many more choices there, than I would at Friendly's.  I think that's where we are going to go!! The naked burger, wraps, salads.. I can definitely make better choices there.

I can't wait to go there. I heard their milkshakes and fries are great :( Oh well, at least I can get a burger. Have fun!
