Question for the Married Girls!! (And Guys!!)

So I have lost about 135 lbs now and my wedding rings are getting ridiculously big...they are spinning and they fall off in the shower and washing my hands or typing on the computer and they are over my knuckle!!! LOL  So I was just wondering...did you wait till you had hit your goal? Or did you take them in before??? Just wondering as I am really thinking about going and having them resized...but I only have 18lbs to my goal and don't want to have them re-sized again after...any suggestions??????

Thanx!!

i don't even wear mine now... I was a 8 and now a 5... almost 4.5... so I am going to wait till after i have plastics etc... when my weight is stable to get them resized... i might buy a temp ring... but it is still strange not to see them there lol...

i forgot to add... this is funny... but the reason I had quit wearing my rings was when I went to yell at Lorelei they flew off and smacked her in the center of her forehead lol... she was stunned and started to behave... and I stood there busting a gut... plus Jeremy hasn't worn his ring since our first year of marriage... he almost lost his finger to it when he slide off the back of a van and caught it on a ladder... had to cut it off via a power tool... so we are the odd married couple that doesn't wear wedding rings... as a friend said... we are soooo Amish when it comes to that lol...

Shannon--That is sooooo funny!! I am laughing so hard right now...but I think I am going to wait until I am finished losing and just be extra careful about flailing my hands around!! (But I am Italian and tend to talk with my hands!!!LOL)

well once you meet Lorelei you will find it even funnier to have her stop what she was doing and being stunned lol... mine on a shelf above the TV waiting for me to hit goal... I can't imagine how much smaller my fingers are going to get since I have 80+ still too loose.. I swear one month all I did was loose weight in my hands and feet... and they were never fat lol... stupid bodies lol...

i HAVE NOT HAD MY SURGERY YET .BUT i HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS AND I AM PREPARED TO WAIT UNTIL I HIT GOAL .OR HAVE A TEMPORARY SIZER PUT ON UNTIL i DO , ai DO NOT WANT TO LOSTE MY RINGS AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO ME TO WEAR THEM.
AS IM TYPING MY HUBBY SUGGESTS BUYONG ME A CHEAP BAND UNTIL I  HIT GOAL.

That sounds like a good idea... a temporary band migh be a good idea...I am so close to goal right now...but the rings are really too large for my fingers now...

Good luck with your surgery!!!!!

Laura - my rings are antiques - my wedding band was my Grandmothers (50+ years old) and my engagement ring was Chris Great-grandmothers (90+ years old) so I am waiting until I am 100% done loosing weight to have them re-sized. I went from a 9 to a 6. I do have an inexpensive band that I wear now. You can also get those ring guards that will help to make them fit so you don't accidentaly loose one.

Hope that this helps!

Liz--Your rings sound sooo beautiful! What a lovely and romantic idea for your engagement ring and  wedding band!!!!!!

I think the ring guards may be the way to go...especially since I am so close to goal..but then if I just so happen to lose 20 additonal lbs after that...then the rings would def have to be re-sized again...so I think I am def going to wait it out...and get a temporary ring guard...

Much luv!!

I just got my temp for my birthday earlier in the month and its nothing like a wedding ring.  Its gold, but it was from Kohl's with a "fake" ruby heart which is birthstone.  I love it, actually.  My daughter asked me about my wedding rings and I told her they were too big so hubby bought me this temp one for my birthday.  She's 25 and I think she's got her eye on them ----- even before she should.
