Wow...we got our butts whooped but good tonight!  I WISH I was wearing a pedometer tonight (or every night I should say) because I'm telling you - I  haven't walked this much, especially at work, in a VEEEEERRRRYYYYYY long time!  Normally we have a "pod leader" who helps out - but in my "pod" (pod = one section of the ER) there were two brand new nurses which my pod leader had to help and therefore I was kind of left on my own.

Once home today I need to do the litter boxes (the only part of the cleaning hubby won't do) and then I plan on relaxing w/ a glass of wine and head to bed.  I did get to bed early yesterday - but I was up every 1-2 hours so it didn't help me much!

3 down...two to go for me until my night off :)

Enjoy the weekend!!!

Morning Pam and Pa... not good that so many people needed ER care last night, but it was Friday night, so it's probably to be expected.  I'm sure it went fast for you.

Today has me up so early because Siehara and I are headed to Baltimore Inner Harbor for the day.  My company chartered a bus to take us down.  We are going get lunch somewhere when we get there and then go to the aquarium including the dolphin show.   Then, we will wander around the harbor until they tell us it is time to go.

It should be a great day!!!!!

Good Morning Pam,
We have a challenge going on at our hospital to wear pedometers and see who logs the most steps in a five month period.  One nurse, on adolescent unit, does not sit at all and walks in place when she is talking to patients and staff, or doing rounds.  It is neat.  I am sorry you were "slammed" with so many patients.  I guess that is the nature of some Friday nights.

Saturday has me doing some household stuff first thing.  I have presents to wrap and cupcakes to bake and freeze for next week. Then I am heading to the hospital to work.  Tonight I hope to get the energy to get my butt to my AA meeting.  I have been battling the sinus yuck and feeling quite drained in the evening
.

I am struggling with the food on and off.  I was put on something for the sinuses that I think makes me want to eat.  I have to be careful.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning!!

Pam--Sorry to hear you had a busy night!! We actually drove right by the hospital on our way to the LV Mall last night...so I was thinking of ya!!!

The mall was awesome! I looooooove it!! It has all my fav stores and it was great to walk around and shop so that was fun and it took my mind off the stuff I have had going on in my life....

As for that stuff with my friend...it did get really intense on Wednesday night but things seem to have quieted down and I think it is over now for the most part. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers...Thank you.

As for today..we are probably going food shopping, then hubby will mow the lawn, and then we will probably just hang out in the pool and then hopefully tonight we will head over to Zern's as we haven't been there in awhile and I want to get some cutesy stuff  for the house...we moved here in Feb.  and I am still trying to find my design groove and finish decorating the house so it looks cozy country and yet still not too over the top country...more of a shabby chic I guess....

I got some beautiful paint from Glidden for free called Sexy Pink that I am going to use to paint the trim in the bedroom and hopefully pick up more Shabby Chic..sheets etc for the bedroom from Target..but we will see...I just have to keep busy right now so I dont dwell too much on what has been going on with my friend...

Hope everyone has a Super Saturday!
Much luv!!!

Last night was horrible.  Well, no, at the time, it wasn't but looking back it was.  Too much money spent when we are really behind.  I don't like waking up and feeling like this.

I am thinking about maybe becoming a nurse.  Can anyone tell me the difference between an LPN and  CNA?  They have an LPN program every year here through the education council.  It is a full time excelerated course.  I really like the medical side of things.  Anyway, I need to do something productive.  I would love to work in bariatrics but we don't have any of that here.  Any suggestions, words of wisdom is appreciated.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Hey Pam! And Everyone!

I've been up and out to walmart, wegmans, giant and k-mart - FINALLY got everything on my list. Now that I am home, I am battling another migraine trying to kick it out so I can get on with the list! I want to pull the carpet out upstairs in my office, clean the house, do the laundry, get some cooking done and plant a few things. Oh and there is always weeding that can be done - ah the life of a homeowner / wife! lol Never a dull moment!

Enjoy the gorgeous weather!

Good morning PA,

Getting a late start to my day because I slept like a baby last night for the first time in months.  I know it's because I've started working out again and my body was just shutting down on me last night.  In fact I was sawing wood before the Phillies game ended.

Anyway, today has me spending time with my son.  Probably go to the baseball field next to our house with a group of kids.  I enjoy taking my son, nephews and their friends to the baseball field.  Kids don't get out nearly enough these days.  They'd sooner stay inside and play PS3 or Wii or something.  I remember the good ol' days (did I really say ol'?) when my parents wouldn't allow me to spend the day inside if it were beautiful out.  We used to go around the neighborhood knocking on our friends doors to get enough people to play a pickup game.

I'm pretty sure we'll be going up to the Kimberton Fair tonight.  We were going to go last night but we had that major thunderstorm.  I hope everybody has a fantastic day.

Gooooood Morning

Up and out early with the dog and walked for a hour before it gets to warm.
Lots of people out on bikes, running and walking.  It felt great to be one of
them.

Today is a massive house cleaning event as we have been neglecting the
tasks since we have been so busy every weekend.

Hubby will mow the yard too.

Then a glass of wine later and watch The Kite Runner.

Good Sunny Morning Pam and everyone!  It is a beautiful day here in the Pocon mountains - that is why I have to head back to the city....:(  I need to get my nails done and then I have a wedding to go to tonight - I am going to see many people that I have not seen since before the surgery - Looking forward to the kudos! :)

That is it for me today - long drive back to Philly, hope the turnpike is good to me!

Have a great sunny day all! :)
