beginning my journey...

Hello everyone,
Attended weight loss seminar at Hershey med.  I have my first official nutrition appointment on 8/18.  I'm very excited, Yet scared !  I have thoroughly researched the surgery.  But I am constantly learning new tid bits from people who have had the surg. in these groups. I would truely appreciate any advice or suggestions you could give me. This seems like a good group. Is there anyone who had there surg. at Hershey,Pa? I live in Clarks Summit, Pa.  Anyone from the Northeast?  I have my blood work done. I have my two yrs. of Dr.'s notes., also sleep study sceduled..ect... There is so much to do! I am hoping that all of my medical ailments will diminish, and that I can look as good as everyones pics.!!  I was amazed when I looked at all of the before and afters!   Have a good evening, Susie

I am from the Philly area, but am familiar with NE PA as Mom lives in Wilkes Barre.  This PA board is the best on OH.  You will not find a more caring group of people around.  One of these days I am going to get to Liz's cooking class too.

hello...congrats on your new journey, you can attend independent support groups in Kingston weekly to find out more and be around other preops andpost ops....they meet  every tuesday at Dorranceton United Methodist Church building 549 Wyoming AV. Hi Susie,
I'm from WIlkes-Barre, PA and had my surgery at Hershey 2 months ago. Who are you seeing for nutrition? They are a good group, very thorough, very serious about education and life style changes. My only complaint that they were a bit too busy and I fell through the cracks (appointment wise) which caused a 5 month delay in my surgery. But it turned out for the best. PM me anytime you want to.
