Day5 of the 5DPT

Hello all. The last day has arrived. I had a protein shake for breakfast and will be enjoying a turkey burger for lunch. Not sure whats for dinner yet.

This wasn't nearly as hard as I anticipated it to be. Not sure if it actually achieved the purpose it was supposed to. But it didn't bother me to do it.

I definately needed something drastic to stick to, to cut out carbs. I am doing quite fine without them, although a cheesesteak sub is sounding SOOOO GOOD right now. LOL

I plan to drink shakes for breakfast, have eggs or tuna type things for lunch, and Chicken/fish/steak for dinner..........for the next week or so. Kinda a mini 5DPT everyday. Still fighting the carb thing so want to keep them out of my system all together for a little while until I introduce a few here and there.

Hope everyone made it through the week. Not many posts yeaterday.

Thanks for sticking with me this week.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

ditto to everything you just said. although last night was pretty tough since things were rough at home (I am 100% convinced now that I am a stress eater)

I do not feel as if my pouch is tighter and I am still craving carbs big time. However it was no where as painful as I thought it was going to be. I was never STARVING, although I did notice when I let myself get hungry I craved carbs even more.

I also learned that;

I like protein shakes
Greek yogurt is my friend
and Wawa makes the BEST scrambled egg bowls

So now on to day 6,7,8,9,etc.....let's see if I can keep some of these things I've learned in mind. and more so that I can learn ways to either avoid stress, or to find an outlet (god forbid it be expercise) to replace food when I'm stressing.

Mel, I am wondering if we are the last 2 standing? LOL

Hope the rest of your day goes well. And you resist the carbs over the weekend.

I'm still here. I just been dealing with a pain in the butt teenager. I had a great week and I am so having a beer tonight. I lost 3 pounds but that wasn't my goal. I don't think my pouch got smaller. It is that TOM so maybe I'll feel "tighter" in a few days...lol. I just know my goal was to make my protein goal and this really made me love my protein shakes again so I got what i want out of it and if I ever see the scale start to creep up I will definetly do the 5DPT again.

Thanks!

That's still great. I did eat an Oreo 15 mins ago...I am a stress eater too and since my daughter moved back in 2 weeks ago I've been majorly stressed. I'm just glad get protein goals.

I'm still here toooooo!!!! just not on the boards as early as I hoped to... My carb cravings have not gone away, I guess they never will, but it's clear to me that I need some sort of restrictive approach to eating - I respond so much better to that also.

Thanks for thinking of this and inviting us!
