Things are starting to feel like they should at the gym.  Put in 45 minutes of free weights, about 30 minutes of ab and back machines and an hour on the treadmill.  Still a looooong way to go to get to where I want to, but I had to start somewhere.  Three straight days of close to three hours of working out is the start I needed to get back on track.

Good day folks!

I did about 45 minutes walking on the beach today in water up to my thighs... really "felt the burn" in the thighs, butt, and calves!  Then it got too hot and we went home and swam in the pool for about an hour with the "little monster"  ... he's 19 months old and VERY active and today was apparently my day because he wanted exclusively me to play with him.  Now I'm ready for a nap!

Tonight we're going back to the beach when it cools off enough to do so without causing sunstroke, so more walking then.

Tomorrow, we're heading home ... I'm kinda bummed, even though I know it has to happen.  This has been such a nice vacation!

Friday @ lunch - Treadmill:
53 min; 882 cal; 5.55 miles; 404 ft climbed; 6.28 mph avg; 9:32 min/mile avg.

versus

Wednesday (7/22)  @ lunch - Treadmill stats:
48 min; 798 cal; 4.96 miles; 357 ft climbed; 6.2 mph avg; 9:39 min per mile average

..progress not perfection...

goal for next week is to work on distance & total time and 'slow down' to 6.0mph for the running portion then 'cooldown' will knock down the average time even more....
