Are you a Geisinger Medical Bariatric Patient?

Hello all,
I just got my invitation to the 4th Annual Bariatric Picnic being held at the Knapper Clinic Parking Lot at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.  I wil be 1 year out August 1.  I have lost a total of 125 pounds and am at goal weight ( 125 lbs.)  YEP, I am only half the person I was 1 year ago.  WOW what a journey it has been!!!! 
If you regist by August 10th you will get a free t-shirt....

Welcome to posting............................yes I just registered and me and paul are going....this will be my third picnic.....Barb Thompson was the speaker the first year of my surgery and was really good...looking forward to having her as guest speaker again.................congrats on your loss of that other person....................................................Lois

How do I register?   I never got an invitation.

Just got mine today, so your's will probably be in the mail tomorrow.....did my apt. today....doctor doesn't think its a hernia, but maybe a fistula....going in friday for endoscopy with Dr.Petrick and monday for upper GI.....also said that maybe thats the reason my weight has stayed the same for one year.....also my catscan showed my bowel was FULL.............he didn't like that....now all kidding aside......you know what they say,  Your full of ****well guess I am! lol  lol well, had to cancel my trip to CA> well everything happens for a reason.....now i'll be able to go to Barix meeting in Phila. for the first sat in August.............................Lois

ok to lazy to look up what a Fistula is... so can you tell me lol...

but that is a funny way to look at the whole bowel thing lol...

Lois - Dr Brader said the same thing about my bowels when I went in last summer. He was concerned too, especially since it was all concentrated on the left side. He just told me to call him immediately if I had pain in that area.
