***Monday Roll Call***
Long story short, I got furloughed from work tonight. At about 11pm I started with a headache...took some meds...it was getting worse. I could have left work "ill" but that would have been an "occurence" which I didn't want to get. So I told the charge nurse if someone were to get furloughed (cause we were overstaffed) could it be me. By that time, it was no longer a headache but I what I later found out was an "ocular migraine" Ocular because out of no where my eyes were tearing up and bloodshot...my nose was running...I was a mess. Not to mention nausea and what not. I'm a little annoyed because she assured me that people would get furloughed and I would be the first one to go. Well, needless to say, other people got to leave at 1am...and I was kept till 3am. I was annoyed. But I'm home now, so that's good.
My plan is to have the meds kick in (already took a nice hot shower) and then sleep...sleep...and maybe some more sleep. I got enough sleep the past few days, so that's not the problem...but I figure it couldn't hurt. Probably all the stress with everything going on.
When I get up I need to pack a bag and then I'm back to work tonight 7p @ LVH. Directly after work Tuesday morning I'm driving to jersey - not for work - but because my parents got field level tix at the new New York Mets stadium to see Paul McCartney, and I'm going with them and my brothers. How cool! It was supposed to be a three day stay w/ them for work Wednesday/Thurs in NJ but now Brian has one of his appointments Wednesday afternoon...so I'll be driving back and forth to do that.
Anyway - more on the exciting details (sarcasm noted, please) on each days roll call, LOL
I may not be on much today dependent on how long I sleep and what not - so best prayers to all those who need them and hugs to everyone just 'cause!
Pam

I sure hope you feel better soon. I have only had a few migraines in my life, and I hated every second.
I woke up with a full blown sinus infection headache. I am not supposed to take my allergy meds because I am scheduled for further allergy tests on Thursday and can't take them till I am tested. I must call doc's office first thing to get guidance on how to deal with the headache and yuck that is going on.
Today has me working at the hospital. Then, I hope to crash and recovery from headache. If I feel up to it, I might hit the pool for some exercise and hydrotherapy. Water is so helpful for me for psychological as well as physical stuff.
I am attempting the 5 day pouch test this week with some of our friends here. I hope I can fini****
Have a good day. Hugs,

Is it morning already? I think I was more awake yesterday than I am today. My eyes are just starting to open enough that I should be able to focus on work soon. I was supposed to start working at 6:30, but just can't focus yet. I do have my work email open and am filing stuff where it needs to go so I guess it counts. (Unless I can't find my stuff later.LOL)
Anyway, camp work schedule. After work, I HAVE to get to the gym. I haven't been there since Thursday. Then, I plan on making something easy for dinner or even warming up something from the freezer. No other plans for the night.. need to catch up on rest from the weekend.
Today is another volunteer day. I will talk this issue over with my co-heart in this and see if we can come up with some ideas.
Have an awesome day all!
I'm off work for the next two weeks but still wok up early with hubby. I may take a nap later! I want to write in my journal for a while this morning, take a couple of neighborhood walks, and made an appt. with my reflexologist for later in the day.
Tonight hubby and I may make a quick trip to Costco. He has discovered their 100% cotton no-iron dress shirts (as good as Lands End, no kidding). (Hmmm....walking by the snack bar without buying something - that will be a change of pace!) We also need to pick up a new collar for the dog somewhere along the way. Hers is shot, and she hates to be "naked."
Feeling pretty good for less than a week out from my surgery. Down to tylenol only for pain, which is a big step.
I think my "replacement addiction" is these forums!
Pam--As a long time migraine sufferer myself I feel your pain....hopefully you are sleeping and getting much needed rest!!! Feel better!!!
As for me today has me just hanging around the house...laundry is done..house is pretty clean....so I think I am just going to read and maybe sit outside in the pool for a little while.
I may clean up the kitchen a little...or maybe I will just make Barry's daughter do that when she gets up!!! LOL We'll see how cranky the teenager is!!! LOL No, really she has been great...we have gotten really close this summer so it has been nice..
Well that is all on my agenda--I lead a very boring life I am afraid!!!!!
Have a Marvelous Monday everyone!!!
Much luv!!

I surely hope everyone's morning perks up. It seems this week has everyone feeling out of sorts one way or another. Not a good way to begin the week.
So "here's to everyone perking up and having a great day!"
I am at work till 3:30. then home to do laundry, Pre-make protein shakes for work tomorrow and making tuna salad for Johnny's lunches the next few days.
I had a wonderful weekend. Hanging out with Jantzen and Johnny friday nite and watching movies, Running around saturday and hitting the farmers/flea market, then a night out alone with Johnny saturday nite. then yesterday, Johnny raced so Jantzen and I hung out at track hoping daddy finished good. (didn't happen, rough racing day!) But overall it was a fun weekend.
Now to catch up on chores since NOTHING was done all weekend! LOL
Hope everyone has a great day. And good luck to those doing the 5DPT. I am starting the day off focused on sticking to it and getting back on track!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
Today has me at work today and then work tonight at the Doc's. I don't usually work Monday nights, but the Monday person needs tonight off. It works out well. I'll work tonight and tomorrow night and then I don't have to go bac****il Saturday. Woo hoo !
Hope all who aren't feeling well feel better soon.
Have a great day.
