Great Busy Day
I had a great day outside working in the yard! Mowing grass, and ranking wood. I did have to take frequent breaks, I still feel kind of weak and get dizzy sometimes (Low blood pressure). I am still trying to get back in the habit of exercising, (that isn't going well) I lost alot of muscle strength over the three months I wasn't feeling well. But anyhow I was busy all day, then came in and showered, and we went to a local campground and had a fire and hot dogs. My back which is not in very good shape and was KILLING me before surgery doesn't feel too bad at all and I still have some energy and WHOO HOO me I feel pretty dang gone good. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and enjoying the wonderful weather. Belinda
You'll get there - I didn't exercise for the first few months following my surgery other than walking and I think its becaue I went back to work a little too soon following surgery and was really tired for a long time, but eventually as I started getting more and better proteins in and my vitamins kicked in I was feeling better and started doing more again, and now I have more energy than I know what to do with at times!! I will never be a 'fitness queen' - its just not in my nature, but I do like working out now a few times a week - I walk a lot and ride my bicycle, and I'm more active than I've ever been.
Must have been the weekend for yardwork because Saturday morning I got outside around 9:00 and started pruning shrubs and bushes on the side of our house - 10 in all - 4 hours (with some water and sit breaks in there) of pruning, trimming, shaping and raking everything up and bagging it - it was a much bigger job than I anticipated but turned out pretty good, especially since I'm a rookie at that kind of stuff and had never done it before. Today my arms, neck and back are achey, but not killing me so I think its just a matter of letting the stiffness seep out of my poor old body - LOL!!
So you're doing great - take things at your own pace. Before you know it you'll have more energy than you could ever imagine!
