Just checking in.

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to check in and say HI!

I'm am officially a week out, as of yesterday, and was discharged from the hospital on Saturday. Unfortunately, I've been stuck at my Grandma's for a week without any internet access. 

My mom wanted to take care of me after surgery and I wasn't about to say no to that! It was a nice week home with my family... but I am so glad to be back in my own place.

The surgery went really well and I had no complications. I was even completely off my pain meds within 2 days of being home. 

I'm still on clear liquids until my first follow-up on Monday. It's no so bad. I've already lost 20lbs from my highest! It feels amazing.

I have not had one thought of "What the hell did I do to myself?!" This is definitely the best thing I could have ever done and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity!

I've missed my OH family and I'm glad to be back... Thank you all for the well-wishes!

So glad to hear that everything went so well!  Sounds like you're recovering nicely...with a nice loss to boot!    Keep up the great work and keep us posted.  Won't be long before I get to join you as a newbie on the "Loser's Bench"!

glad to hear everything went well...i too love hearing posts like that...and i too will soon be on the losers bench! yay my surgery is aug 3rd...any advice?

Other than to make sure you follow your Dr.'s advice perfectly... Invest in a good heating pad!
