This is an accountability thread. Post your "slip up" here....confession without going to church. Noone will judge you for doing wrong...just putting a post out here so that we can admit when we make a mistake, put it out there and move on......I have been slipping up more than I would like to and I thought if we had this thread going daily, I would think more about my bad choice before I did it. Hope you find it helpful.....



So far today, no slip up but I still can't get past last weekend, It was my aunts 75th birthday party and they brought out the most beautiful cake I had ever seen! Cake is my weakness and I gave in! Just a sliver, but I should not have had any. It has been weighing on me ever since, now it is out here and I am letting it go.

I confess..... last night I attended the "Philly Cigar Club" event (http://phillycigarclub.wordpress.com/) and made a couple bad food choices from the appetizers they were serving. 

The good news - @ the event stayed away from the diet soda, stayed away from the alcohol (it's so damb expensive anyways), and I got in my water for the day (64 oz).

Whole Wheat Ritz Crackers. I'm addicted. I think its the combination of salty and sweet and crunchy. Should I buy them? NO. Do I buy them? YES. But I try to limit myself to one serving a day - doesn't always happen.

And even tho the nuts always say 'no caffiene' I have gone back to the Dark Side and my morning 'fix' is a McDonald's Large Sugar Free Vanilla Iced Coffee - it doesn't come in decaf and it tastes so much better (and is much cheaper) than Starbucks. But I drink tons of water after that so I guess its okay.

Half of a cinnamon raisin bagel w/land o lakes buttery spread. . .  but the day is young and I will take it one thing at a time. . .

I have yet to have soda of any kind, don't miss it; but I do have a weakness for salty and sweet stuff, which I try to limit to 1 serving size and keep sugar free chocolate candies for the occasional sweet treat, however, when there is a b-day cake or such thing around, I've been known to have a small piece on occasion, most times asking myself if I will regret it later and is the taste worth it, caffeine I have daily, but seldom more than 2 cups for which I try to compensate by having an equal amount of extra decaffeinated liquids in addition to my 64 oz.. . .


My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

I had popcorn last night - which was "unplanned eating" as per the Beck book.

However, I refuse to feel guilty about it.

Last night -- pretzels.. crunchy and salty.   I was stressed/upset and otherwise not in good state.

Given the state I was in, I am proud that I slipped with one portion of pretzels.. In the old days, who knows  what/how much.

Awareness is key to resolvign a pattern/habit.

Ok....here's my confession.   Sugar Free gum.  I know that it is a no-no, especially since I'm only a little over three weeks out.   I know there are no excuses for it, but I seem to get a gross taste in my mouth a few times a day, along with a film over my teeth.  It's not always convenient to run to the bathroom to brush my teeth, so I pop a piece of gum.

I'm super careful and only chew it long enough to freshen my breath and make my teeth feel a little cleaner and then in the tra**** goes.


Whew.....feels better getting that off my chest.....

Congratulations!! The gross tastes is ketosis.   If your breath stinks, it's a GOOD thing!   Try SF tic tacs instead of the gum.  At least if one goes down by accident it won't require a surgeon going in to fi**** out; it'll pass on through.

I admit that Im addicted to Chocolate chip cookies.  I eat 2 a day.  Not everyday but at least 3 times a week.  THEY ARE THE WORK OF THE DEVIL!
