a day of WOWs!
First, I started the day by challenging myself to run/walk an entire 5K (3 miles). I did it - didn't run as much as I do on my usual 2-mile route because I needed the reserves for the extra mile... but my pace was between 15 and 16 minutes per mile, so not horrible. As I mentioned in the exercise post, I feel like this proved that it's possible, and now it's just a matter of working on decreasing the time. So that got me off to a good mental and physical start - i'm a little sore, but not too bad!
Then while getting ready to leave for vacation tomorrow morning, I had a lot of shopping and errands to do. Ran by Chico's (it was right next to where I was going, honestly!) and found the cutest pair of (gasp) WHITE pants... that FIT (and are Chico's size 2, which is like 14/16)... and were on sale for $14.99. I have not even slightly considered wearing white pants since...well... probably not EVER. But they look good on me! And when I tried them on for hubby, he said "WOW... SEXY!" (with a lot of enthusiasm).
Finally, went out to eat with Katie at Hot Spot in Doylestown - we've gone there since the kids were tiny and the owner, Tina, is the nicest Greek lady... and great food. Anyway, I haven't been in there since my surgery. She looked at me and said "WOW! you look great! You've lost so much weight!"
So it's finally starting to sink in that this is really happening and that my body is really changing. I'm still having a hard time seeing it some days, but I do feel it, and feel a significant difference in energy and agility. But it's nice having those external reinforcements sometimes, too.
Ah - I'm looking forward to vacation. And this was a nice day to get me in a positive mood for it.
Thanks for listening and for continuing to be there and so supportive!

As to the running, even as a kid I hated HATED running, so i'm more surprised than anyone at this discovery. Haha.

I haven't really ran since the fall of 92... because I pulled a prank on the college campus rent a piggies and as I ran away down a hill (I was on a sidewalk) I hit the edge of it and rolled my right ankle... it was bigger than a slow pitch softball... I would say pretty close to a small personal watermelon... oh it was nasty... I tore all the legaments and tendons lol... brillent! Because after that with no running and the PCOS acting up the weight packed on...
But I love the high you can get from a good run.... I would like to get back to where I was at one point and was getting in about 20 miles a week... but I really don't see that happening until boobs are smaller or the fat flap as I call it lol...
I keep praying that it stays in the mid 80s for the rest of the summer to help keep me from getting anymore skin yeast infections... ugh I hate those because once I get them then I start to get really bad skin chaffing... and well that is just oooooohhhhhhhh so sexy etc lol... plus i just feel gross lol... but I'm tired of being preggers lol... the whole feet in the lungs thing SUCKS!
I'm also hoping the weather holds - it's so nice out and you can actually go outside and do things and feel "human" as opposed to just horrible melting ick.
Enjoy your week!

yeah this is all new to me... Lorelei never ever did this... but omg this one stretches alllll the time... it is acutally causing asthma attacks... so head and hands on bladder and such and feet in lungs or stomach... I almost puked after dinner tonight because she got so happy bouncing around and then stretched... oh good god that sucked... why do I get kids with such strong personalities lol... Jeremy and I are already scared lol... we didn't get scared with Lore until after the gutted me and was measuring her lol...
Heat wise... I am looking forward to next week... there are going to be meetings a lot next week in the conference room... which means they jack the AC... WHOOP... it is going to feel normal to me instead of a humid hot box from hell...
