stretched stoma

Well, I had the last of the three tests done this morning. Basically I got the feeling I have three different problems going on. The hernia is acting up AGAIN, my pouch has become enlarged and my stoma is stretched.
The hernia is fixable, not sure I want to go through that yet again, but will do what needs to be done. The technician thinks this is what is causing me pain.
The enlarged pouch and the stretched stoma unfortunately is what is causing me to always feel hungry and never full.
I'll talk to the surgeon in a few days supposedly to see what she thinks we should do.
I feel like I've failed the surgery and don't know how to fix it now.

Hi,

Hey, you didn't fail the surgery.  It failed you.  I am getting a little upset at the RNY.  Doctors swear by it but so many folks are experiencing exactly what you are and it is making me mad.  Seriously, I think the whole RNY surgery needs to be re-evaluated.  Ok, finished with my soap box.  Well,  there is a great forum called Back On Track Together that you may want to join.  Just type that name into the search box and see how others are coping with this.  I am so sorry you are having these issues.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Me, too. Mechanical failure.

Does anyone know what research is out there on failure by mechanical means? This seems to be a "blame the patient" moment, and I'm wondering if there's really research to support blaming the patient on the stretching.

Thanks for the information. it's good to know I'm not alone in this. It's still depressing, but once the "shock" wears off, I'll get my act back together and come up with some type of plan.
