Awww...you are so nice to ask!

Yesterday I did not feel well and had a fever and the runs.  I think something just needed to get out of me.

Today was a little better tummy wise after the inital morning sickness.  I so feel pregnant sometimes!  I tried to just eat 3 times today but I must confess I did not drink enough.  It's hard to do both!  I had a bit of baked potato tonight and it made me nauseous for a few. I am just sticking to the thought that I will not have this nausea on a constant basis for the rest of my life like it feels like now!!

I also am working on things about the job loss, so I think the bit of stress from that is not helping.  I applied for u/e and put a note about being wrongfully discharged.   I also contacted Mike O'Pake's office and at some point he will get back to me.  I just asked for ideas on where to go with this.  I don't want my job back but I do want them to know what they did was not legal...or at least moral!!!  And the more I think on it the more it bothered me so I prayed on it and figured out to get the peace I need this is the route I have to take.  sigh.

Anyhow, tomorrow will be another day of yogur****ermelon and potatoes LOL!

Thanks again!

SAndy - glad to hear that things are getting a little better!

How about trying some broth or soup? I'd watch the potatoes and watermelon this early out - you need protein to heal! Greek yogurt is great for that, so is ricotta or cottage cheese and they all sit well because they are fairly light. Also a potato (especially baked is heavy - I have trouble eating them now!) sometimes I'll eat mashed potatoes (about 2 Tablespoons) with cream cheese or ricotta in it to boost the protein.

Hope that each day is more comfortable!!

I agree - and good luck with pursuing all this against your former employer!

Thanks for checking in and keep us posted!

PS - my surgeon's office has a mantra - sip sip sip!

The sipping is the hardest part.  I probably don't even get half in..that's why I do watermelon..more liquids in!

And, just for the record for the bypass, I am NINE weeks out tomorrow...so I should be, according to how My surgeon works, trying every food by now (you know, everyone we can actually have) so I doubt it is too early for the foods I am eating. At this point I have to go with what works!

Thanks for keeping up with me!  I bought bananas for today and I will try some chili (protien!)
