It's official - I'm beginning my WLS journey!!!!!!!

Thank you Pam. If not for all the support from you all as well as Gene I'd have stopped trying after my first choice of a surgeon told me no one would touch me.

Congratulations Ida!!! I know its been a tough journey for you so far - hopefully it'll be much easier from here, and we're all here to cheer you along!

Thanks. It's been tough but knowing I have a place to go for support as well as the support I get from Gene, has made this all a much better journey.

Thank Goodness you heard the call to keep pushing for a better plan!  Take the new road called "successing".  We'll be waiting on the Loser's Bench for you and running along the road right along with on the way there!

Thank you for your support. If not for you, Gene, and Dr. Leighton I'd have listened to my first surgeon. Your email to Dr. Brader, Dr. Leighton wanting me to have a second opinion from another hematologist, and Gene's gentle pushing and big support is what kept me pushing for that better plan.

It's going to be pretty awesome to actually be able to have this new addition to my story for the Saturday Barix support group. It looks like we'll be able to make it. Gene doesn't have another paper due till January, I have my big project due the first week of September but I have that under control and can take time to come for support.

I'm finding that if not for your and everyone on the PA boards awesome support is soooooooo important for successing.
