Its been 8 months since my surgery and things sure have changed.
I was at the Giant on Sunday and saw a woman I use to work with.  She looked at me and kept walking.  I turned down the same isle and said hello Cindy.  Her mouth dropped, and all I heard was OMG  what have you been doing??????  I didnt recognize you till you said hello.  She proceeded to tell me how good I looked and and asked how much weight I lost.  As of now it is 80+ lbs.

Then I took my mother-in-law out for lunch where I use to waitress.  The owner was there and I havent seen him  since the surgery.  He couldn't believe it.

It felt wonderful.   For the past 3 weeks I havent lost 1 lb.  I am at the same weight.  What must I do to jump start the weight loss again.  I am almost at goal.

Any suggestions.?????

First of all congratulations on those wonderful WOW moments!! It feels wonderful, doesn't it? And I'm sure you're feeling much better, too.

Sounds like you're just in a little stall right now - maybe mix up your food if you're eating bascially the same thing, or change up your exercise - but as close as you are to goal you are going to make it!! We all hit stalls - major ones sometimes and if this is your first I can understand the frustration, but try to mix things up and see how that works.

Congratulations again!!

Congrats on a great job!

The last few pounds are always the most difficult! Try switching up your diet and exercise programs - that should kick things into gear!

One thing that has always helped me is switching up food.  AND meals.  When the weight "sticks" I will switch and make breakfast and lunch meals more protein heavy and then dinner will be a salad with lite protein.  This gives my body the protein during the day when i'm burning and reduces my evening and sleeping loads of protein.  Keep mixing it all up, food, meals and exercise, you'll hit something that works and go with it.  :0)

Hey JoAnn,
How are you? How are things at work? I should be back in 7 weeks. That is some great WOW moments. I just love it when someone doesn't recognize you. Joe's friend thought he had a new wife and so did my neighbors father...lol. Keep up the good work and I'll talk to you soon.
