making sugar-free jello w. splenda question
OK - so I can't find sugar-free flavored gelatin that uses splenda, so I figure I can make my own pretty easily. I got unflavored gelatin and was going to use unsweetened Kool-Aid and splenda. Anyone know the proportions of the kool-aid and splenda to the jello??? And does Diabetisweet work better for this?
Thanks!
Karen
Thanks!

OH... so you're mixing the kool aid with water first??? Haha. Makes sense to use that instead of water to make the jello... I was over-thinking the problem. I was thinking basically of mixing the powders then making it like you'd make flavored jello.
Hadn't thought of using fruit juice, tho... do you replace all of the water with the juice (and boil the juice?) or just half? And are there any that you can't use? (like apple because of the pectin?)
THANKS! Had meant to ask that today!

Exactly - I just boil however much juice it calls for then use cold juice for the rest - or you can cut it some with water if it is a really strong juice. Nope nothing you can't use. The pectin gets "killed" when the apples are processed. Pectin is strongest in under ripe fruits. I've used apple, cranberry, grape, peach grape. Love 'em all!!
