Slide on over...another lady added to the loser's bench

My Mom had her Lap RNY yesterday at the same place where I had mine.  She did ok but is not feeling too well.  I don't think the dilaudid PCA pump sat too well with her.  I talked to her a few hours ago and she still sounds pretty tired.  They want to release her tomorrow but she is gonna ask to stay another day because she is nauseous and dizzy.

Keep her in your thoughts as she recovers!  Thanks!!

OOoh... Kelly, please pass on our good wishes to her!  (My elder daughter has the same issue with pretty much everything they give you through PCA... dilaudid, morphine, whatever... and it's NOT fun.)

The Dilauded made me so sick I couldn't stand it. I stayed an extra day cause I felt so crappy

thinking about your mom! Tell her to ask for something for the nausea - they can give her something through the IV.

She told me that she got really sick last night and started wretching. Told me they gave her Zofran, which didn't help and then some phenergan.
