My first WOW!

I'm 3 weeks out from surgery and had my first WOW moment tonight.  It felt so good I can't stop grinning about it!!!  I was out walking with Paul, my beau.  We had stopped to look at some baby bunnies when a car pulled up to us at the curb.  It was a woman that has been one of my closest friends for over 15 years.  She looked at me and said "I didn't know it was you!  I didn't recognize you from behind!"  She had recognized Paul but didn't realize that it was me with him!   I know I'm losing weight and my body is changing, but I had no idea I've changed that much in just a few weeks!!!   I'm beginning to see how wild this journey is!!!

I have a love/hate relationship with the "not being recognized" thing. On one hand....it's annoying sometimes when you go to talk to someone and they don't have the faintest clue who you are. And you sometimes have to go through the whole thing.

But....it really works out when you see someone out that you DON"T want to talk to, and they don't recognize you! LOL

Congrats! It's a wonderful feeling to know others can see a difference. It helps to know that all your hard work is paying off!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

That is so awesome! This is just the beginning girlfriend!

You must be losing your back, as someone told me.  I had someone tell me that when I was up on the pulpit at synagogue the one day, that they didn't realize it was me until they heard me sing.

Keep up the great work!

That is so cool!!! You're going to have so many more - make a list of these moments and when you hit a stall or are just feeling down pull that list out and trust me, it will make you smile and know that the tool is working and things are going to be just fine!

Congratulations!  How wonderful!

And yes, it's a wild journey.  I'm sometimes amazed at how different my body FEELS (not from the inside, but from the outside... like in the shower... feeling bones where I didn't expect to and such).

Enjoy every minute!
