Two week Check up

Hi All -
My two week check up went very well.  Much better than I expected (especially if you read my post from yesterday).

Turns out I lost 14 pounds since surgery.  I had lost a few between PAT's and surgery, so it's a grand total of 19 pounds.  I never would have guessed it.  My tummy is still a bit bloated, so I really don't feel it around my waist.

Dr. Pupkova seemed pleased with my progress, as did the NUT.  I have been getting all my protein and liquids in, which seemed to please them both.  Dr. P decided to move me along to pureed a week early.  I wasn't supposed to move on to the next stage until the 14th, but I guess since I have been doing well, she decided to move me along.   I'm going to take it VERY slow.  I don't want to get sick.

Anyhow, thanks for all the kind words yesterday.  I really appreciate it.

Lisa

Lisa,
Glad your checkup went well. Isn't Dr P the best?? You should be proud of yourself that you did so well she moved you up to Pureed foods a week early. I admit I am green with envy as she never did that for me. lol.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Hey Lisa,

Congrats on getting a good report at your follow up!!!  You're doing great---keep it up!!!

I had my 2 week appt today too, although it's been 3 weeks since my surgery.  My blood pressure is a little low, so I need to see my family doctor.  I've lost 22 lbs since surgery, and 32 lbs overall.  What a great feeling!  I'm starting purees now too and excited about it---I was getting tired of just liquids!!

Congratulations, again!!!!

Congrats Lisa - that's wonderful news all around!! You're going to do great with this. Yeah, take it slow on the pureed foods - that wasn't my favorite stage but I got thru it. The bloated feeling is most likely swelling from the surgery and that'll be gone soon and you'll be dropping a pant size or two!
