Labcorp!

OK so this is the SECOND time! Last time they "lost" my 10 vials or so of blood and claim that it was never drawn.... so last night I get a call from the OB (She wanted to follow up on some blood work after my miscarriage) doing a CBC and checking ferratin levels - well they claim that enough blood wasn't drawn to do the CBC test only the ferratin! WTH! I am so mad! I am calling the office today to say something! The CBC is a totally routine test - they know EXACTLY how much to draw!! the woman that did it is the same woman that is always there and is so nice and efficient! UGH! So now I have to take more time out of work (they are only open 7-3:30 and close from 12 -1 for lunch) and I work 6:30 - 4... SO MAD!

Sorry just had to vent!

Liz

PS and I have to use Labcorp because of my insurance....

I've been down the road with you before.

LabCorp sucks. Bottom line. We NEVER get the patients results in a timely matter...if we get them at all.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Wow Liz sorry to hear that you are going through this. Hopefully, this time they will get it right and you will not have to go back.

Hi Liz,

Just wanted to chime in and say that I work in a drs. office and draw blood all the time. We use Quest in our office and our patients that have UHC do not see a bill any differently.  Quest writes off what is not covered because they are not a perferred lab so it is no different than being perferred as far as the patient is concerned.  Just something to look into if you don't want to use Labcorp.

I'm just reading this post now....my gawd...unless they needed a whole lot of blood for the ferritin level (like the WHOLE tube) then there is absolutely no reason they can't run a CBC...you need almost nothing for that.

sorry honey!  I KNOW you'll write a good letter - and they deserve a very scathing one at that!
