OT - Hotel/Motel suggestions??

OK gang - I NEED a vacation! I want to go to the beach - it doesn't need to be a touristy spot just somewhere where I open my door and step onto the beach! central jersey preferably -maybe like Atlantic City and north. I don't want to spend a fortune but know what a reasonable rate is. We've only camped or rented houses so I have no clue about hotels! I know a lot of you have been down the shore lately - any suggestions??

I LOVE LBI but know that can be pricey.

someone once told me that parts of the Delaware Shore are inexpensive

Im  a huge fan of seaside heights but im dont think there  are many hotels right on the beach.

You might want to try Stone Harbor, its south Cap May county but we love it there. Its quiet and so nice.

Seaside is FULL of hotels/motels!  I don't know the names of them because I've never actually stayed down there....but there are a lot of 'em

Some of them may not be right on the beach..but literally right across the street.

I'm not sure I would want to stay IN seaside though...very noisy....

 It is noisy. We like to take te kids there. Keep them busy ALL the time!! Its alot better and safer there than years ago. (that i recall) I was born in jersey in Monmouth County.

My wife and SIL are checking into their room at  the Starlight as we speak. Lavalette and Ortley Beach are where we go. Sometimes Point Pleasant and for day trips sometimes Bradley Beach.

All three are very nice, easy ride from Easton. Just a walk away from the boardwalk yet very nice small towns. If you go that way check Surf Taco. Very fresh ingredients. I can get 4 meals from one Burrito.

I just saw on the news that rental are taking best offers at this point just to fill the places.
Call local realotors on LBI or wherever, tell them your budget, they will find you something!!!

Well it isn't the jersey shore... which btw is a BEACH... anyways... hehehe... what about Lake George up in NY state... A lot of my friends love going there for a break... lots to do and not to do kind of a place... and it isn't packed like the beach...
