Willpower down the shore? Oy Vey!
Well George and I and Heather and her friend Chelsea went down to Ventnor NJ this weekend and Moi was in charge of desserts so I stopped at Tiffany's diner and picked up a strawberry shortcake and chocolate mouse and I swear I didn't have a single bite of it and I am as of tomorrow one year out. I have worked too hard to get here and needless to say to be honest I was tempted but remembered where I was last year and when I was asked to take the rest home I said no thank you. Then to top it all off last week we were in Ocean City NJ and saw the steaks and subs and funnel cakes and cotton candy and candy apples and custard and Johnsons Carmel Corn and AZZIP and I thought OMG how am I gonna do this? I ended up with a SF Rita's water ice. Ugh I was remembering how I got here to begin with and more so how I am here now. Oh and I forgot the fudge and sal****er taffy too.
I haven't been down the shore in about 2 years, but will be going in August. I'm going to have to pack stuff for sure! There's a fridge in the room, so I should be ok.
I have made protein fudge with a recipe I found on the Unjury website. Super easy and pretty good!
2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
10 pkts (1 oz) of splenda
1/4 C peanut butter
1/4 C margarine/butter--whatever
Take the protein powder and splenda and mix in a bowl. Heat the peanut butter and margarine until it melts, but not to boiling. Let the peanut butter mixture cool for about 2 minutes, then mix in the protein/splenda. Put the mixture into a serving dish ( I use a rectangular tupperware) and press down. Let set in fridge and enjoy. YUMMY!!!!!!!
