Ok - I've bombed out finding a couple of things and was hoping some of you might know places in the Doylestown, Warminster, Newtown, etc., area to get any of these things:

- Almond flour
- sugar-free chocolate ships (or chunks)
- diabetisweet brown sugar - i've tried target and every grocery store around here!
- unflavored gelatin (every place is out of it... WHY???)

I've ordered a couple of things online from netrition.com (like PB2), but would really prefer somewhere local that I can just run pick something up when I need it.

many thanks!

I got my SF chocolate chips at Weis' and I've heard you can get them at Super Walmart.

Diabetisweet brown sugar, I thought I got at Target, but maybe not. I've had it for awhile, so I'm not sure.  Don't know about the other stuff. Sorry

Almond flour I've gotten at any grocery store - usually in the organic section - or you can make your own - whir up peeled almonds in the food processor.

sugar-free chocolate chips - super walmart is the only place I've ever found them - I need to make a run and will gladly pick them up again for whoever needs - I'll post before I go.

diabetisweet brown sugar - the Larder has it - in the back on the right hand side near the sugar free candy (they also have a great sugar free angel food cake mix - you just add water and whip - the directions are there somewhere too - or ask) Target used to carry the white and brown but has been out of it lately. I get it at netrition.com and have an e-mail in asking for a quantity discount - if I get it I'll gladly sell it for whatever I get it for.

unflavored gelatin - anywhere - the stores have been out of strange things lately - driving me crazy! Do you know that Giant was out of salami when I went on thursday?! I have some if you need it in a pinch.

here's the website where youc an get PB2 by the jar expressmetabolics.com/store/  - I haven't found it anywhere local yet - but maybe I can get the Larder to start carrying it - seems like something they would be interested in.

Hope all this helps!

ok, have to ask. What is the Larder?    I need to check out SF Angel Food cake mix, too!! Maybe Wegman's has it?

I order my PB2 from express metabolics, too.  That's where I've been getting my protein and I am going to get the protein cereal from her, now, too, since I can't seem to find any in any stores around here.

It is a bulk foods store. I'll pick you up a package if you want. I've only ever seen it at the Larder.

what kind of cereal is it? Express has the Kay's Naturals french vanilla. She sent me a sample once and I really liked it!

I just checked and it's in Doylestown, right. Guess I won't be getting down there anytime soon, so yes if you could pick up a box of the cake mix that would be great.  I thought you were talking about the cereal at first, but then realized you were talking about the cake.   LOL!!

Have u seen the cereal anywhere?

lol it's too early for proper brain function!

I get a protein cereal (cold) at Giant in the diabetic section - I forget the name of it but there is I thinka vanilla almond and a maple pecan. I have a box at home - I'll try and remember to look later.

If you have a food processor with a good strong motor you can make your own Almond Flour.

Usually Walgreen's has a sale on bags of nuts.

You can grind them on an as needed basis so there will be no waste.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

Hmmm... didn't realize you could get almonds fine enough just by using the food processor... but that makes sense!  And "DUH!"

Liz, I totally forgot you mentioned the Larder - i will definitely try it.  It's been a while since I was in there.

Netrition.com has the PB2 by the jar, btw - just ordered it from them.

And although I grit my teeth every time I have to go to a Walmart (just cannot stand their predatory marketing practices), I guess I'll have to for the SF choc chips.  Sigh...  Unless I can get the Larder to order some...hmmm... and LIZ, if you're going to ask the Larder about the PB2, I'll happily reinforce the request with them!

Thanks, everyone!
