Not sure what my plans are for today waiting to find out if im going on vacation today!!! if not have my cousins grad party...my moms having a cookout and got invited to 2 parties so im not sure what im doing yet but i hope everyone has a happy,healthy,safe 4th of july!!!

Happy Birthday America! What a glorious day it is looking to be today!
I loved your post and I'm sure your Mom is looking down proudly at you and have a great day, bet you'll get lots of compliments too! In case I don't make it on here before, enjoy your trip!
For a weekend that I had made no plans it is shaping up to be very busy, yesterday I went shopping for a new bathing suit, so Pam, I know what you are talking about, I tried on at least 8 bathing suits before I settled on two of them and the sight of me in them, well, it is what it is and once I get more tan, I will be ok with it, I still look a whole lot better than I did two summers ago and my suits were size 14s, instead of 3X (22/24). I also managed to buy, a pair of jeans, size 10 that fit me beautifully, but they are Ralph Lauren jeans and for some reason RL's are made roomier than any other brand, all my other jeans and pants are 12s, but hey, I am thrilled to be there and if I can ever see my way to plastics I know without my belly skin, I would be a size 10 and possibly even an 8. . . it's not my size that matters, but truly how wonderful I feel these days, life has become a wonderful adventure daily. . . after the shopping expedition I went and hung at my friend's pool.
Today I am off to visit my son's shore house that he has been renovating since April, courtesy of two years living in Germany and watching HGTV on slingbox while he was living there, so I am excited to be going to see the work he has so proudly put into it, though he is not done yet and I am going to hang with the wee ones and make sand castles, after which I was invited to a bbq that I may or may not stop in at on my way home, where tonight I will make my Woman's AA group, that I haven't been to in a while because of dating, but since I got dumped by guy number 2 last week, I have tonight free (lol). . . tomorrow Tony, guy number 1, is coming down for the day and we are going to hang out poolside at my g/f's house. . . no cleaning or doing anything of that sort this weekend, the fur bunnies will be there for another day. . .

not much planned for today. so far started me day when the granddog decided to start barking at 5am.
then to amuse myself sat on the living room floor and watched the dog and our cat have a standoff - dog sat there with his head on his paws looking at the cat all freaked out and growling.
he has cats at his house so can't seem to figure out what's wrong with this kitty...
have shrimp out to cook for dinner after it defrosts, haven't decided what to have with it yet.
Gene is writing more for his dissertation so he's holed up in his office....

Well we painted our bedroom and Chris is putting it back together a bit - the rest we'll do tomorrow. We also made oatmeal raisin cookies and blueberry muffins - Chris helped with it ALL! Now I am just relaxing and thinking about starting dinner - steak and corn on the cob.

Happy LATE 4th Everybody - talk about being late posting - its almost fireworks time and I am just getting on line!! I have had an incredibly busy day and have one or two more little jobs to do then I am done.
Went to a friends house yesterday for a picnic - no pool, tho - way too cool but we had a lovely time anyway.
Today got up and did my usual weekend routine - walked the dog, ran to Micky Ds for my fix, came home fed the dog and I ate, then we started laundry ( 5 stinking loads), scrubbed my mothers porch for her, watered all the plants, trimmed 3 big azalea bushes, then I took both cars to get them washed (no, not at once - I'm good but not that good) them came home and cleaned them inside and everywhere else. Finishing laundry now - waiting for the grill to cool so I can clean that and then its a nice ride on my bike - oh, I did that this morning, too - then a glass of wine and thats it.
Not sure what tomorrow will bring but hopefully not as much!!
