Need a Referral to a GOOD PCP
Dr. Leonard Malamud, in the Stonybrook section of Levittown. 215-946-3100. I love him.

I use Dr Bruce Morrison and he is awesome located in Huntingdon Valley, PA if you want his info PM me and I will be glad to share. He was all for me having it done and got me thru all of it. If it wasn't for him I think I would have had a meltdown. I really love the guy. Very down to earth and most important of all he LISTENS.
I like my PCP Dr. Gringeri. He and his associate Dr. Song have offices in Bensalem and Newtown. Both doctors are nice; the staff is friendly and even though I hadn't seen the doctor much- like maybe one time before - before I started my process to have the RNY - I gave him my info and they graciously and without hassle referred me to the bariatric surgeon of my choice and wrote a letter for me for my insurance (I have BCBS Independence Health Plan East) to aid in getting my RNY approved. Anytime, I've needed to see them, I can generally get in for an appointment within 48 hours or same day if its really important. They have never hassled me about any referrals I needed and if you call, they will generally do it over the phone.
Dr. Song told me about several patients she had that had RNY. I haven't had any major complications with my RNY - and the one problem I had (minor stricture) was handled by my surgeon's office - but they seem sensitive and knowledgable enough about RNY patients.
Okay, commerical over - I swear I don't work for them.
Good Luck,
Rhonda
