So far so good on puree..
I have tried hash this morning for breakfast and kept that down...for lunch I tried an egg with cheese yummy..did good on that too. For dinner I had cottage cheese...did great on that. For my snacks I had chicken noodle soup and fudgecicles.Tomorrow I am going to try chicken puree and some more cottage cheese and another egg probably and more hash. Then tomorrow night I am making up some ground turkey to puree up with some ricotta cheese and see how that goes. Ooh and also I am trying some applesauce tomorrow. I am excited about it LOL. Oh and one more question I noticed that for puree stage in the Barix Bible it does give sample menus but it does not say how much you are suppose to eat in each meal. I was curious to know what anyone else might think about how much we can have. I am measuring my food mostly 1/2 cup or 1/4 cup depends on what I am having.
What are you making your hash out of? Also...are you pureeing the soup? I assumed you did considering you are on pureed. I would take the noodles out so that you could have more protein in it.
And yes...the 1/4 to 1/2 a cup sounds about right. I think I started w/ 1/4 cup for most of my meals. I would suggest in eating just 1/4 cup right now and see how you do.
Careful with the applesauce tomorrow - some are loaded with added sugar. Get the natural one and add splenda if needed.
good luck!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Dee,
The other thing that's really yummy at pureed stage is chili! (the Smart Chili vegetarian with greek yogurt stirred in was a staple of mine at that point)
Go slow, try new foods only at home (where if you react to them you are at least in your own environment), and enjoy!
At that point 1/2 c was on the border of being too much for me, so your measures of 1/4 - 1/2 sound perfect.
The one thing to watch with the eggs is that you're adding potentially a lot of fat, so make sure you're tracking that part as well. Egg beaters taste exactly the same and have a lot less fat, so they might be a good option for at least some of it.
Good luck and congrats!
Karen
