My First Stall

Hello Friends!

I am four weeks out and I have not lost any more weight, since my two week visit. I am getting my water in everyday, getting close to my six meals a day and protein goal. Go on the treadmill or do other walking or housework everyday. What am I doing wrong? Or is this normal? I am getting frustrated.

Help,

Beth

TOTALLY NORMAL! You are at prime time for your first stall! Your body started to catch on - I would try mixing things up - if you always have a protein shake for breakfast - try having a yogurt and fruit etc. Mix things up at the gym too. Your body will start to shed the weight again soon. Stalls can last 2 or 3 weeks. IF you haven't already take your measurements - these WILL change through these stalls.

Keep up the great work and make sure you are getting to fluid and protein goals every day and you'll do just fine!

Liz,

I have been mixing it up just cause I wanted variety in some form. I am kind of limited because I am having difficulty with milk and aspartame, so I have to stay away from that. But I have been doing ok with Lactaid and splenda. Both my hubby and I have noticed some changes, of course he noticed my breasts going away first. Typical man! LOL... Anyway, thanks for the support, at least I am not going crazy or doing something wrong.

I stalled between weeks 2 and 6, and then the weight started falling off of me!  Everyone worries they'll be the only one for whom this surgery does not work.  But trust me, keep doing what you're doing and following Dr. P's orders and you will lose the weight!  And step away from the scale!

Leslie,
It is funny that you said step away from the scale, because I haven't and I think that what was driving me insane.  My hubby hid the scale from me because I was kind of obsessing about it. Thanks for the inspiring words...

Good girl!  Right now, the scale is not your friend.  Soon if will be your bestest friend, but for now, yeah, not so much!  :-)

LOL!! You're more than normal - you're one of us now - it happens - body adjusting to everything new and now thinking you're starving to death so its holding on to everything, but this too shall pass and the scale will move again.

My 2 cents worth - PUT THE SCALE AWAY FOR NOW. Get weighed at your appointments ONLY for a while - you are going to frustrate the crap out of yourself if you keep stepping on that thing every day expecting to see miracles - this is a journey and can be a very long one, but also a wonderful one - but if you expect to see the scale moving down every day you're in for a huge let down because that is not going to happen.

Sit back, relax, do your walking, sipping, and trying to improve getting your proteins in every day - and trust me, the scale will move - you will lose weight. Patience is a very good thing.

I agree with you. The scale has been driving me crazy, that is why my hubby hid it from me. I continue working on protein and water goals everyday, just not stressing over it. Thanks for the advice.
