Protein powders.....
After surgery no protein powder worked for me. I have found that the powder mix of Slim Fast high protein is great. I mix it with fat free milk and ice in the blender. I usually mix half choc and half van. It is 15grams of protein and does not make me gag like the others I have tried. Hope you fnd something that works.
I second the recommendation of the Chocolate Max Protein from GNC. The other one that I love is Syntha-6, which comes in a big red container at GNC and the Vitamin Shoppe. It is by far the best one that I've tasted, especially the Strawberry milkshake and Cookies & Cream flavors. I mix them up in the magic bullet with water and a few ice cubes, and it comes out tasting like a real milkshake, with no protein smell whatsoever. The same company makes the Lean Dessert shakes, which I've heard are also excellent, but I stick with the Syntha-6.
Lisa, I picked up EAS protein powder, in chocolate and vanilla, at Giant. They were about $8 each. You might want to order sample packs of BSN Lean Dessert proteins online. I've tried a couple of them, and they were really good. The only protein I've really had a hard time getting down is Nectar Cappuccino. (Suggestions on how to use this one would be great, if anyone has any.) Protein is really an individual taste. Good luck!!!
My favorite thing to start my day with is a hazelnut decaff coffee with one scoop of isopure dutch chochlate, whiz that in my blender and it is dreamy! I had the worst problem with anything when I first had my surgery, now I am hooked.....Just got home from a five day shore trip and did not have my protein powder with me and I went nuts!

Hiya:
I like the EAS 100% Whey protein-- the vanilla flavor. It is great with water, milk or soy milk. I enjoy it actually because I can mix in fruit or have it in my coffee--- it smells good and tastes great. one scoop gives you about 23 grams of protein!
I pick it up at Target.
Hope this helps,
Chanel
