OT-Feeling Blue..
Okay I don't know why but lately I just have not been feeling well and my doctor seems to think that I have low sugar that is why I was feeling dizzy all the time from not eating frequently thru out the day but I eat every 3 hours if not more thruout the day. I just feel like I am eating all the time. Don't get me wrong I have been at goal for about 3 months now and don't want to lose anymore. This morning I tried on my size 4 jeans and they literally are slipping off me. I have know that for about a week but still this morning I literally clutched them in my hand and started crying. My hubby thought I was out of my mind since I kept telling him that there is no such thing as being too thin. I literally do not want to be a Size 2 and I guess I was mourning those size 4 jeans in my own neurotic way. Why am I feeling this way all HARMONAL?? BTW I am getting BIG zits all over my face a very foreign concept for me since I have never had Acne problems ever even when I was a teenager never broke out now I look like a teenager with zits all over my face and neck. YUCK.. Anway I digress sorry to go on on and on. Any suggestions on why I am having Acne problems??
Sounds like a womans worst enemy.... HORMONES... And you seem to do great with your exercise so you might need to up your calories a bit to maintain (if you are burning so much then you need to intake at least that plus to maintain, right?) How are you doing with getting to protein and fluid goals?
Could it just be a rampant case of PMS?? *hugs* hope you feel better soon!
Liz
PS - I seem to remember you posting about several stressful situations that have come up lately - maybe this is all a result of stress? Sometimes we are so involved in what is going on we can't see the bigger stress filled picture (and yes I am so preaching to the choir here.... pot - kettle BOTH black... so there with you! lol)
Hang in there sweetie!

Hi Shilpa - sorry to hear you're feeling down right now - women's bodies are a strange and wonderful thing sometimes.
I know two girls who are avid runners - at least 10 miles a day if not more - it affects their skin and their female cycles terribly - both experience big skin break-outs and skipped periods - not sure they go hand-in-hand or not.. Maybe you are overdoing it just a bit on the eliptical and that is causing the skin eruptions? I'm certainly not a doctor of any kind so this is purely speculation. I know you said you're drenched with sweat by the time you're done so that could be doing something to your pores as well. I've noticed since I'm working out more I'm getting little break-outs here and there - nothing major but definitely noticable to me, and I'm not doing nearly as much as you are.
Call your PCP or a dermatologist to see about the skin problem - I wouldn't let that go especially if this is new for you. And maybe do the eliptical every other day and walk your neighborhood the days you don't - that'll get you out in this beautiful weather and may do wonders for the way you're feeling - I know when I ride my bicycle at night it lifts my spirits like nothing else!!
