Talk about a quinky dink

Last week our new neighbor up the street was walking her dog. We got to talking and I mentioned that the nurse that lives across the street from her expressed some concern when I said I was going to have surgery. She replied that her "room mate" had the surgery also. I saw her out walking the dog a while ago and went out to introduce myself.  We talked for a while and it turns out we had the same surgeon ( Dr. Cha ) and she had her surgery about a month or so before me.  Small world isn't it ?  I invited her to go to the next support meeting and she said she would like to go.  So now if I want a walking buddy I know who to call. Maybe we could keep each other in line. She asked me if I was having trouble gaining and I told her "yep" it's those midnight munchies that get to you....
So that's my excitement for the day.

You just never know who you'll meet on walks - I'm so glad you found a walking buddy! They finally put the final finish on the streets in my development and I've been riding my bike a lot - hoping my one neighbor is going to join me but she's been having a little bit of depression problems - my husband swears he's going to get a bike and ride with me - we'll see. But enjoy your new walking friend - please send me a reminder for the next meeting at Brinton Lake, too - I hate that I keep missing all the meetings there and at Barix. I thought the Saturday meetings would be easier but its not turning out that way.

My daughter has a bike in the shed but too many hills for me to even venture and it's been I don't know how many years since I was on a bike.
I try to put the reminders on my calendar but keep forgetting. I will try to post next month. I think it's the second Wed of the month. I'll have to check and get back to you.

My development is fairly flat - some small inclines but nothing too drastic. I love my new bike - its a cruiser with no gears so its all pedal power! I can probably check the dates myself on their website - I think they had them posted there. Take care.
